Great news! Where can we find this feature and when can we start using it?

Right now planned release date is 25 September. If all goes well. If we will stumble on some unexpected problems, then the date will be moved to 12 Oct. Though for now everything looks good.
Feature will be available at first only to clients that answered our alpha testing form that we emailed to everyone who voted for this topic.
Within 2-3 weeks after that we have plans to make it available for everyone.
After that we are planning to update this feature with new functionality every month. (We hope to be able to update it each 2 weeks, but we can not promise that we will be able too until we try. So that is a secret.)
Fingers crossed

Hello,
Please let us know the release date for this feature. Thank you.

Alex,
With first release only one person per vote anonymous will be available. As it is the most requested type of voting. But we will definitely make identified voting and membership based restriction. Right after we release election poll type and ability to share polls at the website with the gadget.

To add an additional "wrinkle", let me explain the situation the association I represent deals with. We are a regional chapter of a larger national library association, and while we are a completely separate entity from the national group, we function as an affiliated organization.
In our annual elections, we have 2-3 positions that all of *our* members must vote for, but we also have 1-3 positions for which only members of both our association and the national association are eligible to vote.
So ideally, what we would need in the voting/elections aspect is the ability to restrict certain "questions" (using conditional logic) to be viewed only by a specific member group or using criteria from the membership database. This would allow us to run a single ballot, with the positions eligible for members of both associations only showing up for those members.
Alternatively, we could follow the same model we have for our current online voting method: create 2 separate surveys/ballots, with one going to members of both association, and the other only to our members.

Will you allow one person per vote anonymous voting? Or just identified, membership based voting?

Our organization holds annual board elections where the bundle administrator is the authorized voter of group memberships. It would be great if the voting/election process has a way to select the bundle administrator to receive the election emails.
We also have a range of board vacancy's each year. It would be great if there is an election ballot option to preset the # of candidates that can be selected by voter.
Sometimes we want to send out repeat emails, such as election ballots to a group of individuals. Is it possible to custom a member/contact search only by the name, email address, or other custom field; so that this type of search can be saved for election emails (or other emails)?

Our organization holds annual board elections, open only to certain membership categories (as many professional organizations do). Currently elections are conducted manually, i.e., pull member list from WA and set up voting profiles at https://heliosvoting.org/. It would make our elections infinitely smoother if WA integrated this type of functionality into the system.

Every nonprofit I have been a part of has a voting election. This would be good in WA because we only allow paid members to vote. It doesn't have to be very complex, but would be a great addition and time saver.

A gadget for board members to vote on issues. An organization could put this gadget on a board member only page, anybody with access could propose a new idea, it would need someone else to second it and everybody can vote. Settings can change some of the common rules, but I'm imaging that you could set the minimum number or percentage of the group for a quorum and the issue would be automatically decided if that number of group members replies.

THIS FUNCTIONALITY HAS MANY BENEFITS AND ALL IMPORTANT TO
WILD APRICOT USERS. IF INTEGRATED, SECURITY IS UPMOST IMPORTANT
TO PREVENT MULTIPLE VOTING AND VIEWER ACCESS. PERHAPS IT COULD BE LINKED TO THE SECURED MEMBERSHIP LIST? -

Since you have polls pop up on the admin side of the web for us to give feedback, could you add that same functionality for us to use?

Really would like a voting option offered through WA.

This is just another thought that came to me:
Have elections a specifically assignable administrator role, e.g. for an organization secretary.

Hello,
As we are about to have an important electronic vote I though I should check this section. I have several comments.
1) We also have a membership in good standing requirement. One must be current on one's membership count in order have one's votes count.
2) Our different membership levels have different numbers of votes. In our case some member levels have two votes, other levels 1, and a few levels 0 votes.
3) In our bundle accounts the votes are held by what you would call the bundle manager.
4) There should be an option to make the votes public or secret.
5) While we don't have the equivalent of a meeting quorum requirement for electronic voting would other organizations have a requirement for a minimum number or percentage of votes cast out of the total potential pool in the membership? I am just asking.

We also need this tool however in order for it to be effective for our needs we need to be able to limit the ability to vote to paid members (and/or members at a certain level) and only one vote per person.
