  1. Disable Directory Emails

    The ability to turn off messaging from the directory so that the directory is just a list of members and whatever fields we chose to include there. Too much spam is getting through to our members making many of them want to leave.

  2. Removing bundle members and making them just contacts

    I would like to be able to remove bundle members and just revert them to "contacts." We have organizations with bundle memberships and some people who are added as bundle members are using a personal email, and would still like to remain in our system, they may just no longer work at that organization. I would like to make them contacts and not have to suspend membership.

  3. Member activation email - Allow Member manager to receive a copy

    Member Activation Emails - In the setup of Member Levels allow Member manager to also receive a copy of the Application activation email. This will enable quicker response to new member without the need for the Manager to access WA every time to obtain new Contact details.

  6. Default database field item values

    When you create new database fields, particularly for radio buttons, check boxes etc. To have the ability to pick a default value. Therefore when entering a member's details the form is not entirely blank, but your most common values are already set. This would speed up the manual data entry.

  8. autorenew macro

    WA should provide a macro that shows whether a member has signed up for membership autorenewal.

    One of our biggest renewal issues is that people think they HAVE signed up when they haven't, and their membership then expires because they didn't pay.

  9. Automatically change a "Lapsed" membership status to "Active" when we record a membership payment on a member's record.

    We had some "Lapsed" members that paid their dues. The Wild Apricot system did not automatically change their membership status to "Active" when the payment was recorded. There is no place on the invoice screen that shows the members status when we manually record payments. It creates an extra step to go back to the members record to make sure it is changed to "Active"

  10. Suspended members still receiving emails and newsletters

    Why do suspended members still receive our newsletters? They also show up on current membership counts. What's up with this? Do I really have to go in and disable their email settings?

    You can create a saved search for archived members and use it anytime you need to see the list. Or, you can use Quick filter dropdown in Contact list.

  12. Auto invoice for membership levels where recurring payments in enabled

    Currently, wild apricot doesn't automatically create invoices that send with membership renewal notices when recurring payments are enabled for that membership level. That feature doesn't work for my members who don't use recurring payments and pay with check instead.

  13. members directory vs professional directory

    It would be very useful if our members directory could be viewed in multiple ways. In particular, we would like our professional members' profiles to be accessible by the public (we call this our professional directory), but our student profiles to be accessible by members only.
    Unfortunately, our student members' cannot fill many relevant fields because we do not want them to appear in our professional directory.

    You can setup multiple member directories with different content and different permissions/fields.

  14. Membership Level "Other"

    We're in the process of migrating to Wild Apricot and trying to figure out how to handle "Other" membership levels.

    We have various pre-defined membership levels (e.g., Supporting, Sustaining, Legacy), which map to a particular $ amount. That's simple enough to setup in Wild Apricot.

    However, we also offer members the flexibility to contribute an amount of their choosing if one of the pre-defined levels isn't an optimum fit (some donate more, some less).   15. Limit number of members in a level

    We would like to suggest a feature that allows for membership to be automatically stopped at a certain number during membership renewals. For example, we can "cap" it at 25 of a certain type and it will stop accepting renewals or new members when that many have signed up.

  17. Forgot Username Utility

    There needs to be a way for users to find out their username if they forget it.

    A simple "Search by last name name, first name, and zip" and, if it returns 1 and only 1 result, notify them of their contact email, set the password to a temporary password, and email them a link to reset their password.

    We have people who are re-joining on accident because they cannot remember their login information.

    This widget should not assume that the member is active. In many cases, it is the lapsed members who need to urgently recover their username.

  18. Why do you support the NRA?

    Why do you still choose to offer discounts through the NRA, via membership? It seems that in light of the current environment here in the U.S. you would not want to be associated with such a hate group. Especially being a tech company. This support does not seem to fit the vast majority of you client's opinions.

  20. Revising bundle membership functionality

    About a year ago we have created functionality which was originally called 'Group membership' and later has been renamed into 'Bundle membership' (See http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Membership+bundles ). Our goal behind this functionality was to make it easy to deal with multi-person memberships (typically sold as a package, a 'bundle'):
    * corporate membership
    * sports team
    * family/household

    In a nutshell, for a given membership level you specify that it is a 'Bundle' (limited to NN members per bundle or unlimited). Person applying for membership becomes administrator and can later add members to his bundle at no additional charge.

    This suggestion has accumulated many votes over a year and is on of top 3 in “Members” category, so this year we started the analysis of it.

    During analysis, we’ve processed all the comments here. And we concluded that while all of them are related to bundle membership problem, there are different cases. We know that we cannot address all the cases at once, we need to prioritize.
