1. Disabling workflow emails

   Does anyone know why there is no option to disable ONLY the workflow emails? It first appears that you can just uncheck the box, but this is not so--when you click "edit" the message says you can only disable it if you choose to disable ALL email to the member.

   This is an issue because we've had several members complain about the influx of too many emails.

   Am I missing something?

   We cannot disable workflow emails, they are required for proper system functioning. But I do agree that number of email has to be decreased and as Oleg mentioned, we have another post for this.

2. Member directory - hide unpopulated filter fields

   A relatively simple request - for the search filters on the member directory, can we have the option to hide results with zero matches?
   
   Currently, fields with zero matches are "greyed out". However if they could be hidden altogether, this would dramatically reduce the clutter in the filter fields, especially in fields where many options are available.

   Sorry, it looks like we’re not going to do this. I would suggest using CSS customization to hide such options, it’s possible – just need some HTML experience.

3. Member Field for Application Use Only, Not Afterward

   I would like the ability to mark an Internal Use membership database field to be editable but only on the membership application.

   Our membership application contains questions like

   Once the application is dealt with, these fields shouldn't be visible to anyone but admins. But currently, the closest way to configure them is "Edit in application, visible to member only":

   I would like the editing and access to be configurable separately:

   This way, the member enters it on the application page but doesn't see it afterwards. However, admins can still view it, offering the same functionality as a paper membership application on file.

4. Copy Address or other contact info

   For individual mailings, it would be helpful to be able to press a button and copy the current contact's basic details - name and address - to Word to make a letter/label.

   In some contact databases the control panel for the database allows for a mapping of fields, e.g. DATABASE.SALUTATION+" "+DATABASE.FNAME+" "+DATABASE.LNAME maps to CONTACTNAME and DATABASE.ADDRESS1+", "+DATABASE.ADDRESS2 maps to ADDRESS and similarly "DATABASE.CITY"+", "+DATABASE.PROVINCE+" "+DATABASE.POSTALCODE

   When needed, you press a combo of keys or press a button on the screen to copy the defined address to the clipboard and paste it wherever you want it to land.

   Adding a new gateway doesn’t align with our current focus for the product. Supporting each payment systems takes time and resources away from our development and support teams to provide the better, more reliable service.

6. Allow negative day(s) offsets in Renewal Policy

   Our club needs to send out renewal invoices and reminders on or after the renewal date, not before. It would seem easy :) to implement this by allowing negative day(s) offsets in the Renewal Policy.

   We send renewal notices on the renewal date. The member remains in good standing for 60 days, after which they have a short grace period and then become lapsed.

   This could be entered on the Renewal Policy by sending the invoice 0 days before renewal date, following up with a reminder 30 days after the renewal date, and then sending the grace period notice 60 days after.

   But WA won't accept a renewal reminder "-30 days before" the renewal date.

   A workaround could be to have an artificial renewal date 60 days after the real one, but that would mess up dues proration for new members and probably other things too.

   This looks like an exceptional case and no one has commented on this for quite some time. I believe that as a workaround you can use “Renewal day email notice” email as a first reminder, then “Grace period email notice” sent after 30 days as a second reminder and then “Lapsed email” after 60 days to set status to Lapsed.

7. Membership Level "Other"

   We're in the process of migrating to Wild Apricot and trying to figure out how to handle "Other" membership levels.

   We have various pre-defined membership levels (e.g., Supporting, Sustaining, Legacy), which map to a particular $ amount. That's simple enough to setup in Wild Apricot.

   However, we also offer members the flexibility to contribute an amount of their choosing if one of the pre-defined levels isn't an optimum fit (some donate more, some less). Prior to Wild Apricot, our online membership form presented all Membership Levels as radio buttons, and the fieldset concluded with an "Other" checkbox, accompanied by a text field for writing in an amount. Is this currently possible in Wild Apricot?

   If not, is it being considered for a future release? And meanwhile, what do you recommend for a workaround?

8. Allow same 'edit in profile' for Contacts that are not members

   We want to have fields present on a Contact's profile that do not appear on every registration. We do not have a membership, and therefore no "members" (only contacts), so we cannot use the "Member can edit in profile" option.

9. Donations and payments for smaller organizations

   Some website hosting businesses have a feature of taking payments without signing up with a third party. They contract with a 3rd party that handles donations, then take their own cut of another couple of percent. The organization can then avoid the overhead costs by paying say 4 or 5 percent to the hosting company. The hosting company provides a single unified interface and take the 1 or 2 percent. That would work for us, particularly since we have to take donations and sells tickets manually.

10. Support for South African payment gateways (PayAll, SagePay, PayFast, PayU etc.)

    Hi there,

    We would appreciate it if you could support a South African payment gateway natively. While 2checkout allows credit card payments in ZAR, it does not allow for Electronic Fund Transfer payments, which all the local payment gateways do. For recurring payments, some of the local gateways also allow for debit orders, which we also need.

    At the moment, we are planning to integrate into PayAll (which has discounts for NGOs) using the WA API - but this is a bit of a hack and it would be useful to have WA support one or more local payment gateways natively.

    Unfortunately, PayPal does not support payments in ZAR in South Africa, and it supports EFTs from only one bank at this stage, so it is not a complete solution (though it is available).

11. Multiple suggestions to improve event management

    We have many events per week because we are a large program. Some events are recurring, but often with differences each week (look at http://www.cmacskiracing.com/JuniorU16Calendar/ for an example). I get continual feedback from our coaches who need to enter items in the calendar that this is very cumbersome. For instance: 1. the event list a very sparse/inefficient layout. Can you format this in rows like a spreadsheet so I can see many more events? The current design uses only the left half of my screen. 2. the event list has no ability to filter by Tags 3. the event list no mult-select (e.g. to delete old events efficiently) 4. there is no bulk create or bulk update events 5. there are no recurring events (understand that this is also tracked in another wish item). Recurring events must support exceptions (e.g. we are cancelling this week or changing the day this week) 6. add new event: find the event for "copy from existing event" is a hassle: it has has no search feature to find the event I want to copy. 7. In "copy from existing event" the list of existing events should be single row/multi-column. Currently scrolling through hundreds of events again very inefficient with the tall rows and small dialog box.

    Bottom line is that the current design for event management is so inefficient I have my program asking for a better solution....

12. Add authorize.net emulator for online payments

    My organization currently uses an authorize.net emulator for online credit card payments. With this we only pay small incremental charges per transaction. If we have to use any of the currently available (in WA) online payment systems our expenses will go up quite a bit (well over $1000 just for membership dues). Please add the authorize.net emulator. We could handle our renewals much more efficiently and at a reasonable expense.

    Can Wild Apricot send member information to webcheckout so members don't have to be entered into both systems. Webcheckout supports protocols listed here:

14. Table type field

    A table type field would have the ability for a member to have a single field for say phone numbers where each row would have a phone column, a type column and a use sequence/preference column

    This would enable other users or administrators to contact the member at their preferred number

    Sorry, it looks like we’re not going to do this in a way you proposed. As a workaround, you can create several phone fields (like “Main” and “Secondary”) and ask people to fill them in accordingly.

15. Membership drive incentive program

    I've been thinking for a while now that being able to reward members for signing up or referring other members would be SO great.

    A point system would be best, and when a certain amount of points is earned, they can trade them in for merchandise or credit toward renewal etc. But also just a straight automatic credit to their account would be ok too (for example, every application with their name or code they get $5 credit on their membership account).

    Is this anything that can be automated - name or code links to them and adds the preset amount? Would help them help me to grow the membership without creating a bunch of manual tracking for me.

16. Limited Multiple Choice for members

    It would be great if you could consider adding a limit option to the multiple choice feature.

    This feature would be great for members who would like to be listed in multiple categories under the directory. It would also be useful for members who service different areas or counties. With the limited number of selections they can make and organization would be able to charge an additional fee for them to add more catagories to their listing.

    Sorry, but it looks we’re not going to do anything here for any reasonable amount of time in future. As a workaround, I would suggest to use fields with type of “Multiple choice with extra charge” and basically charge for every choice members make – and you can make them required to choose ( at least one). It’s not the same, but close enough to what you want to have.

18. Printing the Quickbooks Export Transaction Report [16340]

    Not sure why there isn't functionality already for printing a generated reports through WA. But this would be very helpful to have a report of what you are preparing to export then import into you accounting software and then be able to print said report as documentation for it. (checks/balances).

    I have attached a screenshot of the report in dispute.

20. Quickly pre-register all members to an event for an easy attendance checkin

    Our association owns a beach which requires (400+) members to sign in at the gate. It would be highly useful it we could (pre)register all members at once. This would allow the gatekeeper to check in members using this great new WA feature and simultaneously create a nice log for our records.

    Another desired feature would be to create reoccuring events as we would need such a prepopulated event on a daily basis during our 10-week summer season.

    Our mobile app for admins is focused on checking in attendees and we consider this as a main tool to do so. I do not see us doing this particular suggestion. Closing.
