An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedDmitry,
Thanks for your response.
I imagine that the vast majority of your clients are like me – we only look at the wishlist and other areas of the forums when we have a problem and I’m sure that most of them don’t know they have a problem! I assumed that our web site was “Google-friendly” not that the greater part of it is completely unsearchable as far as Google is concerned.I imagine that if you sent out an email to all your business-oriented clients asking “Do you care whether Google can search and rank ALL of your site?”, the overwhelming response would be “of course we do!! Fix it!!”
If you don’t agree, I would encourage you to contact your business-oriented clients and ask them .You note that our site is not highly ranked by Google – only 3/10 when I last checked – and that’s not surprising when 300 or more of our pages are hidden from the search tools is it?
I understand and agree that it makes sense to delay any changes until your new CMS system and architecture is in place but would urge you to schedule this change as soon as possible after that date and give us a commitment that problem will be rectified in 2012.
Regards,
Ian

www.worthingandadurchamber.co.ukAn error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedAnother 6 months has gone by without any progress on this subject.
As a Chamber of Commerce this is very important to us and our members and I'm sure to any other of your clients that have businesses as members.
Are there any plans to get this on the roadmap? Do you have any idea how much work is involved and therefore what the likelyhood is of us ever seeing this corrected?

An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedIt would be very useful to be able to add/delete contacts from the recipient list when emailing event attendees.
For example, we would like to be able to select just the "no shows" from an event and email them, or alternatively remove the "no shows" from an email list so we could send the actual attendees a special offer.

worthing and adur chamber of commerceAn error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedHi Dmitry,
I was just about to say "oh no it isn't" but you mean the 30-day trial accounts and not the free ones that they transmute into after 30 days don't you?
When we signed up for the Professional plan, I also started a trial account to be used for testing CSS, flash, Javascript snippets etc. That account is obviously no longer "trial" and so the advanced CSS customisations are disabled. Having to keep starting new trial accounts would be a pain.

Ian
worthing and adur chamber of commerceAn error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedAlternatively simply allow CSS customisation on the free WA sites.
That way we can play and test in private and no work for you guys :-))Regards,

An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedWe have also been considering membership benefits for our organisation. One idea that is often suggested is to allow paid-up members to attend a number of events free of charge every year of membership. This approach has obvious benefits to both the member and to us.
However, we would need a way of controlling and administering this via WA.

An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedI'm sure the other posters in this thread really meant that they would like to insert the actual gadget into an email and have it link back to the event/blog entry on the web site.
Probably too much work to be practical at this stage. So, of the options listed above, either would be an improvement, my vote would go to Option 2 especially if it could be preformatted into a table of some sort so that it stood out.

Merged together several closely related by meaning ideas – so we can properly resolve them all together, in different live scenarios

An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedThis would be very useful to us. Is there any sign it will be implemented in 2010?

An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedWe also currently use constant contact for email newsletters/marketing etc but would much rather use WA for this.
We would rather see you guys expend your time & effort in improving the email blast facility rather than on CC integrationRegards,

An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedAs part of the redesign of the member directory in WA 3.3 the "directory listing field" membership field that was limited to 500 chars has been lost and replaced by a multi-line text field with a huge 3,000 char limit.
This 500 char limit was very useful - we could limit our members to around 4 lines of text to describe their company in this field on the basic member directory page and then let them have free rein (up to the full 3,000 chars) on their full page display.Perfect.
In this way we could exercise some control over the display on the member directory list.
We would very much like this size-limited text field reintroduced, either as a fixed size - 500 chars is ideal for our use - or more flexibly with a user selectable size.

Ian Tilley

www.worthingandadurchamber.co.ukAn error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedIt would also be very, very useful to be able to limit the multiline text entry to a number of characters maybe 1,000 so that the size of member generated entries e.g. company descriptions etc, can be prevented from growing to unmanageable sizes.

We often encounter this problem. Sounds like it should be easy enough to implement??Regards

An error occurred while saving the comment iant commentedYes, this would be useful. We are contemplating a change of theme for the entire site. Although this change is quick there will be a knock-on effect to all pages due to differing page sizes. It would be good to go offline while this is checked out and corrected.
