An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedI've said this before in these forums somewhere, but it would be great when you do cancel a registration that you get the option of how to you wish to action it at the time. The current process as you described is a right pain and time consuming and messy.
It would be good if, at the time you cancel a registration, you have the choice of whether you wish to:
a) refund
b) keep the fees
c) Credit the account (current default)This would make it much easier to handle no-shows and the likes where folks are not entitled to a refund - makes it much easier for reporting on finances and member behaviour.

I merged another very similar thread into this one, they should be solved together – the registration to multiple events should be simple and fast if possible. There are a number of suggestions in comments on how to achieve this.
Kerrie-Anne supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedI'd love to see something like this as well - a bit like an event shopping cart where users (members and/or non-members) can select the multiple events and register for them all at the same time.
In my case it would need to tally up event fees where applicable and ideally itemise all events on the invoice as separate line items (rather than generate one invoice per event)
cheers

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedUseful in my space as well - especially for those events where you are looking to get an expression of interest to try and work out some final details before you post the full details of the event.
An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedI'll bite! I think this would come in pretty handy for me, too!

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedI get around this problem by witholding information from the public events listing and add it instead to the Additional Information field for the event. Usually this is information such as full address details for the venue and links to additional information/documents. This is then added to my registration confirmation email so that they get access to the information only once they have registered.
That said, it would be nice to be able to attach an iCal file the email as well for people to add it to their calendar!

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedI would love to be able to do something like this, too. I think I posted a similar request some time back. I run 3-4 events a week and my newsletter is a manual creation of all of the upcoming events - would LOVE to be able to extract the information as you suggest to generate my events update newsletter!

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedGiven that email address is the primary identifier for contacts, I also think that email verification field is also warranted - I get loads of people signing up with incorrect email addresses - sometimes I can guess what it should be and change it when I receive the bounceback, but I can't always anticipate what the error is... it means I miss out on potential leads as a result.

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedSorry, just realised that this is probably in the wrong thread as it relates to consolidating event list instead of the automated event email notifications - saw the bit about consolidation from the first poster and was the closest I could find to what I am asking!
Still keen to know if this is possible in the current system tho!
Cheers

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commented+1 for me on this as well - I'm in the process of doing this on a clone site and its quite a daunting task!
An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedI'm keen for this as well - the current theme preview is half-way there, but you usually want to mess about with it a bit more before deciding if that's really the way you want to go (I had to get a duplicate site going to use as "dev" for this very reason)

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedCan you use a third party plug in and embed it as an external widget - try Jotform (jotform.com) - I use it for a lot of my sites that want fancy forms and non-technical users to be able to maintain them - it also works well as a contact form for WA sites, which is what I use it for primarily, but have also used it for various expressions of interest type forms and the likes
An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedTry JotForm: http://www.jotform.com
Not as fancy as wufoo, but less limiting and the free account is pretty generous
"JotForm is a free web form builder. For basic usage, upto 100 submissions/month, you can use JotForm fully. No crippleware. No ads."
Unlimited forms, some groovy tools for surveys and all sorts and even payment integration if you need it.
I use a number of forms on my site and have no complaints and I reckon it will be a while before I need to upgrade!
Cheers

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedMacros would work for me! I have a similar query/request floating about on the forums somewhere in that I would like to be able to make it easy to include events in a newsletter (I send one out every week and its is very time consuming to compile manually)
I would live to be able to send an email that is similar to (but not the same as) the List view of the events page.....anything that helps achieve this would save me huge amounts of time!

WORKAROUND: it is possible to set different colors using custom javascript. See section “Color coding events using event tags” at
https://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Event+tags#Eventtags-colorcodingColorcodingeventsusingeventtagsKerrie-Anne supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedWith all the fancy new templates we have now and the styling that goes with them - would be nice to see if we can get this happening.
I would have thought that possibly we could just associate a colour with an event type which would then automatically apply the css?
Is there a workaround we could use now?

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsKerrie-Anne supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedIf its something less official than a formal event event such as the example you gave "I'm going for a ride on Tuesday, who wants to come?", would a forum suit your needs in the short term? Might help to promote discussion amongst members as well :-)

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedThere are free tools that will rename all the files for you in a directory to a specific formula as well - if you're set up to use webdav, it would then be really simple to re-upload the renamed files...
An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedLook for something using Jquery should do the trick - something like this perhaps?
http://www.justinwhall.com/directory-jquery-slider/
I've used it successfully elsewhere, but not on a WA site, so it might do the trick!

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedQuestion 3 in their Quick Help tutorials explains how to make images link
If you get stuck after that, might be best to contact their customer support ( support@wowslider.com) as WA would simply be hosting the slider as a html/script snippet (also in the FAQs - "how to add WOW Slider to an existing page", so the help for functional stuff would likely need to come from the WOW folks.
Good luck!

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrie-Anne commentedWhy not try this one: http://www.woothemes.com/flexslider/
Demo lives here:
http://flexslider.woothemes.com/
All you need to do is
* Download the zip &extract
* upload the supporting files (css and js) to your site
* Reference uploaded files either in settings >> global javascript or in the raw headers metadata for the page you wish to put it on (I recommend going global, then you can have a slider on any page you want easily)
* insert the js from your preferred slider demo in the header of the page you wish the slider to appear (cut & paste)
* Cut & paste the associated html code with that from the demo into a script widget where you want the slide to appear
* Change the image references to your own and insert linksVoila!Relatively easy to implement this one, feel free to PM me if you get stuck - we use this script a lot where I work at my day job and its very quick, easy, flexible and even responsive in mobile devices :-)
Just wondering if this has been posted in the right place? If not, can I get it moved to the correct forum thread please? I wouldn't have thought that this is too difficult to acheive - surely someone has a similar need or has managed a workaround? Anyone.....?
