I’m making this not just about events, but other lists too – this is a common usability problem.

I would like a simple addition to this: whenever a change is made to a contact, invoice, payment, refund, etc., the person making the change should be required to add a comment (which would be used to explain the reason for the change). Currently when I look in the audit log, I just see something like "Refund deleted by Treasurer. Amount $20." or "Payment edited by Treasurer. Amount $20." It doesn't explain what the reason was, or what exactly the change was that happened.

I would also like to request this feature. We have the same reason: Student members have a discounted rate, but only while attending school, and they must submit verification of attendance at an approved school. Currently they are able to renew and become active without providing any verification of student status.
Currently I simply set up a filter in my email to flag those renewals when they come in, but Wild Apricot is still allowing them to become active, causing more manual workload for me.
Thanks!
