We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.
This way administrators would…

And invoice memo for offline payments will be added automatically, no need to worry about this.
As for handling it with donation invoices - we will be definately implementing thesed in future, but no timeline yet, since it's a major overhaul of finance module of WA.An error occurred while saving the comment @alex absolutely
An error occurred while saving the comment @Alex Sirota: If we include donation into invoice - it will be taxed and in WA it will be considered as membership or events revenue. That's the main driver for this feature. There are numerous ways to include donations into invoices already - any extra charge field. But all of these workarounds would have exactly the same flaw - revenue will not be considered a donations.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Alex Sirota: there's no need to adjust invoice amount - this way donation would be part of invoice, not a separate donation transaction. What we are suggesting to do is to add donation as separate financial document in WA once association has received any extra payment for an invoice.
All membership/event invoices will remain "clean" this wayAn error occurred while saving the comment @Alan,
1. We read these forums and they contain a whole bunch of useful information
2. We don't have fixed WA user group that rules WA roadmap,When working on roadmap we have to consider a whole bunch of different sources, including, but not limited to support requests, business plans, compliance and security updates, etc.
As of current issue, we are well aware of its priority, and we plan to work on it soon. But I cannot make any promises, we're still developing our next year roadmap.
An error occurred while saving the comment Your frustration is completely understandable, Glenn. This is one of the top features for us - but it's still in backlog and I'm afraid it will remain there for some more time.
We have to constantly balance over more than a 1000 improvements in our public wishlist, as well as the same amount of internal ideas and some of the good improvements - like this one - can wait it's turn longer than we would want to.An error occurred while saving the comment Merged related threads together

An error occurred while saving the comment While it's not there yet directly, you can perfectly solve this by creating another ticket type with higher price and play with availability dates for original ticket type.
E.g. Standard registration is available until Dec 1st, after Dec 1st Late registration with higher fee is the only option. Look for more details here: https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/103-advanced-events-ticket-types-settings-tab#ticket-type-availability -

An error occurred while saving the comment No changes, and unlikely they will be anytime soon, it's pretty unique usecase and not very common. Sorry about that.

An error occurred while saving the comment No this is not possible now. You can manage permissions for your visitors to access files, but not for administrators

An error occurred while saving the comment This sounds completely reasonable. Indeed, we don't have such functionality as of now directly, but you can still setup default taxes for your products, tied to particular province/state tax regulations. This will work having that you operate from single province/state. For multiple provinces/states this is not possible yet

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for comments, @Steve. This improvement is in active development right now, unfortunately it takes longer then we expected.
1st part (as redesigned membership level setup UI) will be out in Q2 2024 and bundle pricing improvements are a bit further down the road -

An error occurred while saving the comment Please follow the guide here: https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/515-search-engine-optimization
We allow adding custom search terms for each custom created page, but not for specific events yet (since Events pages are generated automatically).
However, you can still add custom meta-tags for event details system page, if these search terms are applicabel for all events you make -

An error occurred while saving the comment While there's no direct support for what you're requesting, you can use page templates to have multiple pages share the same content. See here for more details: https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/185-page-templates

An error occurred while saving the comment Makes sense, but as an alternative, you could create a special hidden level just for this and filter Featured member to display only members of this level

An error occurred while saving the comment You can create birthday gadget yourself:
1. Create a member saved search for members with birthday this month
2. Add Featured member gadget to the page you want and point it to just created saved search for member source
3. Setup featured member gadget for your preference. The only caveat I see is that saved search parameters are limited to "this month" only, there are now "today", "this week" searches unless you manually edit the saved search every week.
Having said above, we will unlikely implement a dedicated Birthday gadget, but we will still consider other related requests covered in this topic

An error occurred while saving the comment @aaron, thanks for sharing your thoughts on Dashboards.
Following on your comment:
1. We will eventually make Dashboards more configurable - by extending it with even more widgets, adding the ability to show/hide or rearrange widgets for each administrator. This was only the first release aimed at keeping and to some degree extending current dashboards
2. Good consideration about the total number of contacts. Meanwhile, you can always view the total number of contacts on the Billing page
3. As for total numbers being inconsistent - it will be fixed ASAP -

An error occurred while saving the comment 2FA will be applied to administrators only, not members. And we will make sure that we don't require it too often (not on every login) - either when the administrator changes the browser or IP session, or the session expires.
We understand that all these security measures are a big pain, but they're required to make Wild Apricot safer. -

An error occurred while saving the comment No updates here, sorry. We are busy with technical updates of our mobile apps right now, maybe we will consider this feature later
@Victor, still in backlog unfortunately, but we'll get there early 2025.
