I just noticed that there is an overlapping request:
"Bulk upload of member profiles" (https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/10917621-bulk-upload-of-member-profiles) which was created just a couple of months after this one.
In particular, Jeff's comment in that thread from Dec. 2015 describes just what I am looking for.An error occurred while saving the comment

We are importing members from a previous website, which conveniently provides links to the member photos in its CSV or Excel exports. Unfortunately, Wild Apricot does not appear to support their import. The only alternatives I see are:
1. require all of the migrated members to (re-)submit a photo
or
2. export all of the member photos from our old website and attach them one by one to the new member profiles.
Needless to say, I am not enthusiastic about either of these options. Can't Wild Apricot load the photos from the provided URLs during the import process?

If I understand this request, the option should probably read "Subpages under current page". If that is what is meant, then I need it too. However, to be on the safe side, I am opening a separate wish.

This would make our lives much easier. As a workaround we have configured individual searches for minutes and newsletters by using Zoom Search Engine (zoomsearchengine.com) from PassMark (formerly WrenSoft) with java script. This requires constant maintenance.

Storage is getting cheaper all the time. Why is the limit so tight?

Indeed, it would help if the folder were named after the album, just as pages are automatically given a "Page URL" based on the "Page name".

Thanks Dimity, but I don't think your suggestion responds to our need. The member privacy settings are a great feature. However, there are cases where we need to publish an e-mail link, for example to the organizer of an external event or to the provider of a service (who may not even be a member). We often need an e-mail link in a public page , e.g. e.g. for prospective members who may have trouble registering or in events which are open to the public. If I use the rich text editor to insert an e-mail address, it inserts a clear HTML mailto link, which can easily be scraped. Perhaps I am missing something, but I don't see how the member privacy settings can help here. You can see an example on our homepage, where I am using an externally hosted script as a workaround for the webmaster e-mail link, but this only works for board member mailboxes.

Anyone interested in this may also be interested in the earlier request:
"Enable bulk uploads of member ID photos." (https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/10482414-enable-bulk-uploads-of-member-id-photos).
