Identify where photos/documents are linked from the website
It would be great if you could click on a photo or document in Files and see where it is linked from on the website. Perhaps there could also be a shortcut to see which photos/documents are not linked anywhere, because maybe they are old and should be deleted.

I vote that this is a critical feature that is needed! It is very time consuming and disruptive to our organization to search through the collection to validate the removal of stale documents.

I'd vote again if the system would let me! Also, why is there no search feature in the files area? It is extremely difficult to find specific images and documents

Only 46 votes, but I suspect every WA user would benefit if this could be arranged.
So, Is there a way to identify the webpages that have links back to the source stored 'Files'.
(Source = 'Files' folder, Destination = Web page link). -

Looking forward to the day when we get this function. Any thoughts from WA support on when this might happen? What are the difficulties?

I agree. managing documents is pretty tricky and they may be accidentally deleted resulting in broken links

This is great and a feature offered by WordPress. It avoids lots of old files piling up on the server that are not being used.

Find all links to a resource file.
We have many image & document resources, which are linked to from multiple web pages, newsletters & emails. If we reorganize a folder of resources or rename a resource file, many links become invalid. It is impractical to manually search all web pages, prior newsletters & emails for the links to those resources.
Useful would be one or both of the following:
1) Automatic update of a link table if a file is relocated or renamed.
2) The ability to display all links to a particular resource file. -
