An error occurred while saving the comment Simon van Lieshout commentedTo redirect all traffic to your custom domain or your www. version and avoid duplicate content penalty on search engines: use a custom domain. Ask wild apricot to install a free SSL certificate for your domain. Then change your security settings so all traffic goes via Https. Hey presto, all your traffic is redirected to your chosen domain.

An error occurred while saving the comment Simon van Lieshout commentedThis would make WA a competitor for groupspaces customers who are used to this convenience.

An error occurred while saving the comment Simon van Lieshout commentedEmail list forwarding via an alias per group/saved search (see wishlist item with title "email list forwarding"). This would offer a huge usability improvement for less technically able administrators and organisations with administrative functions distributed amongst multiple people. If security is a concern, sending emails from the app using a simplified interface and template would be a great alternative.
An error occurred while saving the comment Simon van Lieshout commentedEmail list forwarding from an alias should also be within the scope of this thread as a solution to improved usability. See https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/18585130-email-list-forwarding

An error occurred while saving the comment Simon van Lieshout commentedI'm trying Wild Apricot as a GroupSpace alternative and the lack of an alias per group is a major disadvantage of WA. It means there is no simple, quick solution to email communications with members. If each group, membership level or saved search had an alias e.g. groupname+organisation@wildapricot.org it would free up the admins to administer the system and allow the best communicators (not necessarily that happy with complex newsletter creation processes) to communicate with membership groups. Giving certain members permissions based on their from address to send to a group without having more full email permissions allows a more democratic approach to organisational communication without the training requirements of full newsletter capability. Allowing the app to send emails with simplified templates to membership groups exposed through the app would be another way to simplify things.
I agree. managing documents is pretty tricky and they may be accidentally deleted resulting in broken links
