We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.
This way administrators would…

An error occurred while saving the comment Charlotte McRanie commentedThe default of sending all event announcement emails at midnight does not work for us. Our workshops fill up really fast ( we have 300 members and each workshop generally only allows 24 to register) so releasing the announcement that the workshop is open for registrations in the middle of the night really doesn’t work well for a really popular workshop. We need the option to control the time that the email announcement is scheduled to go out until a time of day when most people are awake and likely to see the email (and have an equally fair shot at being able to register.)

An error occurred while saving the comment Charlotte McRanie commentedAs a quilt guild, we use the "event" function for quilt show entry forms and on occasion entrants say they did not receive a confirmation email or payment receipt sent out by the system. I need to be able to "resend" the original email generated by the system. I can see those emails in the "contacts" profile in their email log but the system doesn't provide an easy to use "resend" button so I have to go through a fairly time consuming process to locate my copy of the emails and forward them to the person requesting them. (Note: we get 350 entries a year)

An error occurred while saving the comment Charlotte McRanie commentedI must agree that for our organization the complexity of the password requirement is more than we need with the special character and 12 characters. That is more than most other online requirements, including the financial institutions I use -- they only require 8 characters and not all of them require special characters!! Give us the option to require fewer characters and just require numbers and lower/upper case without a special character.

An error occurred while saving the comment Charlotte McRanie commentedI agree that adding several phone number formatting options would be desirable for the phone number field. There have to be a relatively finite number of options that cell phone providers use that could be provided as choices for these two fields so that our data in this field is not all over the place. It's a lot of work to fix the formatting when we export the data to another file.

An error occurred while saving the comment Charlotte McRanie commentedI also have a need for this type of "conditional" functionality. I am in the process of building a form using the event functionality and I have several places on the form where, ideally, a field would only appear based on the answer to the preceding question. For example, "Is this quilt entry for sale? (Select "yes" or "no") Then only if the answer is "yes" would the next form line item appear labeled "Price:_________".

An error occurred while saving the comment Charlotte McRanie commentedAs a CPA and new WA user, I would like to add my frustration (and our volunteer bookkeepers) to the comments below. We have been exploring ALL of the available financial reporting mechanisms for getting the level of detail we need out of WA via Excel exports to get the daily totals we need to reconcile to the Affinipay deposits so that we can record them in our Quickbooks system (we are not willing to just blindly do a QB feed at this juncture). So far we have not yet identified an export source that gives us all of the transactions in the level of detail we need EXCEPT the Quickbooks extract. It is extremely frustrating because we KNOW the data is available in the system. We just can't get to it. The only report/export we have seen so far that appears to have what we need is the Quickbooks export (based on what is displayed on the screen); however, the only available export format is an "IIF" file.
If you can provide this data extract for Quickbooks, surely you can reformat the same data fields in an Excel format as you have done elsewhere in the module. We believe that if you can give us the Quickbooks extract file data in an Excel file, we will have the level of detail we need to do our accounting and reconciliation properly and easily. Otherwise, we are going to have to spend a lot of time either changing how we had wanted to utilize the system or going back into each part of the system and extracting data there to be able to break down deposit totals coming out of Affinipay.

This should work the same way as the "event" email functionality where the "reply to" line in the email can be modified by selecting an email from the contacts listing. The problem with the current functionality is that replies to the "no reply" email box may not be responded to in a timely manner.
