Bulk import of attendees
We sometime invoice institutions for a group of attendees. It would be great to have an excel file that can be imported per event to populate the list of attendees.
Hello everyone!
Seeing your activity on this thread we would like to present you with three new templates using the third-party app called “Integromat”. They could help you to:
- Copy an event with registrants
- Export registrations into a Google sheet
- Import registrations from a Google sheet
These need a short one-time setup and then you’ll be able to do the actions above in just a few clicks!
For more info see our blog: https://www.wildapricot.com/blogs/newsblog/2019/04/30/event-registration-integromat
We absolutely understand this is not a solution but more of a workaround for this request, so we won’t close this thread. But feel free to share your thoughts about these templates as well!
Please note, these workflows have some limitations and might not suit everybody. But we hope they will make your life a bit easier.

Hi Laura, welcome! Everything in Wishlist forum is not developed yet. So, bulk import is still waiting. All our actual nearest plans (Roadmap) are here - http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Product+roadmap

Hi,
i'm about to purchase wild apricot. not sure what the status of the "bulk import of attendees" is but that would be a very helpful feature for us.
thanks!

I would also like to have a way to import an attendee list. We don't need it necessary for billing, but we do sometimes have outside vendors handle event registration for our events and they do it using their own system. Have a way to import the final attendee list would be really great.

We run a series of philosophy courses for a few hundred people in total every 5 weeks. Each course would be an "event" on the system. We usually allocate people to courses rather than have them register. So a way to bulk register people for courses would be great rather than one-by-one (could be some sort of "fast-add", power-user web interface).
We also need to be able to efficiently record attendance for each of the 5 weeks of each course. This needs to be list and checkbox based rather than by going into each record as this would be very time consuming. It will also be impractical to create a new event for each week of the course. If someone attends sufficient evenings, we will also mark them at the end as having "passed" the course. This "passed" field could be handled with a custom field, but an efficient way to record attendance for an event over multiple weeks (or even on a single day) is not efficiently handled at present.
I see that these features would also be useful for a number of other Wild Apricot clients.

I would like to find an easier way to track our association's meeting attendace. Currently I am getting a list of attendees and registering them for the event (bi-monthly meeting, free to attend) after the meeting has taken place. Unfortunately I have to enter each attendee one at a time and for last nights meeting, 85 people, this takes over an hour. We need to keep track of who attends the meetings, so they can get credit for their attendance. Asking them to register does not provide an accurate count. I would be great If we could mass register our attendees. Thank you.

This would be a huge help for us as well. We get hundreds of conference registrations in and multiple changes to them once rec'd. If we were able to export attendees, make changes in excel and then upload the changes...it would save a lot of time. Thank you!

Han,
Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the details.
Now let's see if other clients support this request and what are possible variations.

Hi Dmitry,
The scenario is this:
* Institution contracts with us to provide a training session
* Institution will send us a list of 60 people who will be attending
* We will bulk import them in to the event which includes all their profile information as if they were signing up for it themselves
* We will then invoice the institution at the price per attendee we set when creating the event
* Once payment is received, we can then mark that everyone has "paid" -- but we'll probably do this anyway even if payment hasn't been received since the institution will issue a PO once knowing how many people will be in attendance. A PO to us is as good as payment...Most of our trainings are sponsored by the institution/company so the attendees usually never pay. They're paid for by whomever they work for.
Hope this helps!

Han,
Can you elaborate on the full scenario for this, including how you envision payment aspect should work regarding current financial management functionality?

We would like the ability to import information into the registration form for an event much like the importing process that you can currently do in the Contacts section.
For example, tracking information for Office Use Only, such as meal ticket order #'s, whether the registrant completed the evaluation form or not, professional development hours earned, etc.

I would like to do a bulk update of attendee information without going into each attendee record. There is an 'administrative' field where we note whether a member has been selected for a special event. We may have 400 'candidates', but only 100 are selected. A mass update would be a more efficient way to note those 100 selected attendees.
