Automatic web archive of email blasts
Our membership would like the ability to see archived e-blasts sent to "All" members. In our membership model, all members are "equal." I could see this further broken down by Group, e.g., members belonging to Board group could view archive message sent to their group; e-blast sent to "all" members could be view by "all" members, etc. Also, having the ability to show messages sent within a certain time period, e.g., messages sent within the last 6 months (rather than messages archived forever).
Even better, have the ability to search e-blast message text by keywords much like the forums. The search results would need to take into account whether the member searching is authorized to see say Board messages. It might be easier to simply offer search for messages sent to "all" members.
I am guessing another function page devoted to e-blast archive viewing/searching would be necessary.

* also, a visitor to the website could read past eNewsletters ~ could help with membership & dissemination of information.

I absolutely would like this capability. I was told before I started with WA that it was available ~ I'm sorry to find out it isn't.
The reasons it is important are:
* Offers option to see in a browser vs. email client, in case client has issues
* Good for an organization's archival needs* Content is what drives search engines, and eNewsletters offer relevant & current contentThanks for implementing it!

Yes! Having a check box on emails to allow the automatic creation of a web page and a webpage archive would be very helpful and would bring the system in line with competing email systems. Wild Apricot uses this feature in their own email newsletters (as "having trouble viewing this email - click here to view as a web page"), so it seems like you can see the value in this feature. Any word on when it might be implemented?
This can be done manually, but it is tedious!

There is no timeline for this sorry - I would say it's not likely to be looked at in 2011 as it is unfortunately below many other requests in terms of # of requests.

I added this to the wish list in October 2010 and our membership is still looking for this option. When will it be possible to show members emails sent to general membership? As administrator, I can view a list and while creating the email I would love to be able to check a box indicating this message should be archived for general membership. The checkbox would allow us to selectively assign a message to archive.

This would be a fantastic option! Our old site offered this feature, and it was one of the most used. I spend a lot of time modifying messages and moving them to the blog, and looking up old messages in my inbox and forwarding them to members who need the information now and can't find it on their own computers. It would save a great deal of time to have it all on the web site, no matter how it was organized. Of all the plans I have read, this would be at or at least very near the top of my list for improvements.

Jack, scheduled emails are not currently possible - but there is a request already on the wishlist:

Yes, I think we would use this. We are planning to archive them by converting to PDFs at this point.
Also, had a request from my Communications Manager that she be able to compose an e-blast and schedule when it will be sent, rather than send immediately. IS this possible and if not, can you add it to the Wish List?
Thanks.

It has been suggested by some users that it would be desirable to have an option when sending out newsletters to have them automatically converted into a web page and added to some kind of online archive.
I would appreciate comments and votes.
