Please ADD: Restrict web pages and files to those who have signed up for events. I notice that this has been a feature request from WildApricot users since 2010 but as yet this hasn’t been addressed. Needed!!

This is basic functionality that should be part of the system.

Pretty disappointing to see this started in 2010, and still nothing - especially with all of the virtual conferences happening in the past year, it's still not a priority.

We need to create password-protected access for pages associated with an event. It would be great if the event settings allowed us to automatically put registrants into a Member Group, which we could then use to enable a password protected set of pages for the events. As it stands, it looks like we'll need to export all registrants near to the event date and conduct a batch import, and then add stragglers later--lots of places to introduce errors in that process.

For a large Virtual Event (Conference) we need the Registrants to have access to “hidden pages” to get conference-specific material on the website that is only for the paid Virtual attendees of this Event. We need WA to make an “Event Registrant List” an option choice for “Restricted” web pages... similar to the way Groups and Member-levels are available for defining “Restricted-to” folks. This would be a great help! We can use a workaround of manually assigning each registrant to a Group for a while, but we really need a more automated approach up and running before our December 7 conference with 200 people. Can Wild Apricot include the ability to allow access to certain web pages for ONLY those who registered for a specific event? I have wanted this feature for a very long time:)

We need to be able to include Zoom meeting links for our events. Because we need to ensure that people have registered and paid for the events, we cannot include the Zoom link in the event description.
We've tried putting the Zoom link in the confirmation email. People often do not keep the confirmation email handy, particularly when they're registering a month or two in advance.
We do send emails to people who are registered, but we've also had recurring issues of people not receiving the emails.
So, it would be very helpful to be able to include information on the webpage or in the event itself that's visible only to the registrants.

We need similar option here that an event could be authorized for everyone actually or a subset of membership, but as soon as you register to this event, you are allocated to a group and this group could be created automatically
Today we have to add manually people it is very long process and we cannot do that if the persons are not members
We shall be able to do it for contacts too, and that admin could create a group participation hidden to registrants and which will associate registrants-group with no manual extra work

it sounds like this is not yet a function. Does anyone know when or if it will ever be?

Yes - definitely need this! We have conferences attended by both members and non-members, who pay different prices.

Right now I have to work around it by emailing a specific URL to attendees. However, then tend not to read emails. Without this feature, I can't post a link on our conference site letting people know that the materials are available, since everyone would be able to click through and see them.

We have a convention (NGRC 2019) we are planning. I've opened up membership as free to join to get updates on events and news about the convention. I've set up an event registration to allow them to actually sign up for and pay for attendance at the convention. I would like to automatically adjust the membership level (from "Contact" to "Pending") and group participation (attending clinics, other special side events) based on their registering for the convention and on the options they pick when registering. An action field in the event form, and an additional action field in optional fields of an event form, could allow me to do this (change membership level or group participation). And when payment is actually received, I again would like to adjust the membership level (from "Pending" to "Registered") when payment is received and confirmed. Can this be done?

My case is simply to automate the selling of content pages. When the user is register to X event, they can gain access to a certain group that will in turn, give them access to the pages for that group.

I support this for a different reason. We have linked events where you can't register for the second event until you have registered for the first. We use the WA registration code system but it is not a very robust option since the code can simply be emailed to anyone else.

Adding registrants from event 1 to a group and then creating group based events in addition to the level based events would provide a much more secure "if registered for event A, then register for event B, else not"

When members register for a paid event, we give them access to pages that are protected for that membership level. Those pages are accessible from a main page that shows up in their top menu navigation. This is easy enough for the admin to do, but we have to do it one at a time and they don't have immediate access after registering. I'd like for members who register for a specific Event to automatically be added to a specific Group.

This is my exact request. We don't like printing out all the handouts for our conferences, but we don't want people who didn't register for the event to have access to them for free. Our next best option is to put the handouts on flash drives, but that necessitates the person having a device with a USB port at the event, which not everyone does. It would also be a great functionality for registrants to be able to access the handouts via smart phone.

Page access restricted to event attendees is really important! Can this be added this week?!?!

In 4.3 release we are giving non-members a way to login and so initial request makes a perfect fit into this.

We would not go for non-secure solution for this so I think either this would only work for members initially - or login/self-service capabilities would have to be extended to non-member event attendees (which is a good idea long-term)
