Change the default image size for picture fields and make it customizable
I am using the Image Upload as part of my Registration Form. This image has a Max Size of 110 X 110 which appears very small, and there is no way to enlarge it. I encourage members to use the Photo Albums to upload additional images because these images in the Photo Albums do display a little larger. The main profile photo is what you see in the Member Directory and it is too small. It would be nice to have a click/mouse-over feature to make the image display a little larger. Thank You.

We do not have plans yet on when we’re going to deliver on this.

Our two wild apricot sites are intended to help the public find and choose our members who are therapists.
A bigger picture is needed to make the profiles look more attractive.
Also to have the person's name in the url slub and in the google seo title description. We have built these sites to drive traffic to our members. Even after CCS tweaks the profile layout is disappointing even though the overall site looks great. There is a lot of wasted space and the page layout is poor.

Is there a way to hover over a picture in a web page and make it larger ?
Please add this to the next update

I am a prospective Wild Apricot customer. Everything I see about this solution would work well for our organization except the picture size. It is the only thing holding me back because I know our members will want to post images larger than the ones allowed on the profile pages. The slide show will work okay for some images but I need the ability for members to include a picture and a description under it. The Internet is now a visual beast and I can't believe this functionality isn't available on WA. It seems like a simple thing to incorporate, and with limits on image size, I don't think it would require a lot of bandwidth to incorporate. I mean my comments sincerely and I'm genuinely regretting that I won't be able to take advantage of the WA if there isn't some way to include larger profile images.

Both ideas would work for us - and yes, we need this!

TBOC: Correction! Actually, with your latest comment we've got through 10 authors threshold and now this topic gets into our 2014 roadmap :)

No and it's not even in our 2014 roadmap... We are focusing right now on issues with 10 and more authors in them, this is our current year strategy (we will release our newsletter on that soon).

It's been designed, now sitting in development queue till the next year while we're working in wrapping up 5.0 release.

Has there been any developments on this image size issue?

We need the pictures, or in this case the logos of our sponsors, to be much, much larger on the sponsor directory but I'm told this can't be done. Please make them larger or for us to have the ability to select a larger size.

I agree. We use this mainly for our sponsor logos on the annual sponsor directory and it's way too small and low-res.

Please add me to the list of people who would like larger image sizes for the member directory. Full picture behind thumbnail would work but not be as good a solution.

Yes, it seems sensible that I could add photo fields for both a member profile picture and their logo, if they have one. However 110px x 110px is TINY these days!!! Add me to the list of people who would like the option of posting larger images to one's profile.
I have added in the Gallery capability; however, that seems a strange place to put one's portrait and logo.

I saw a support thread on this topic, but can't find it as a wishlist suggestion. It would be helpful to make the member profile photo either larger or a clickable thumbnail since its programmed size is too small to be useful. Albums behave this way, but most members won't bother with that feature.

I would absolutely LOVE this. Making thumbnail size custom would be fantastic, and if with ability to view full picture, you mean roll over an image to see the larger version, or click on it and get the larger version in a pop-up --that is absolutely the number one feature upgrade request from me.

A customizable image would add tremendous flexibility and make this system a lot better for networking groups.
One of my clients suggested having business card images in the profile which is not practical now.

great idea, we could use this on our websites...

Your point is well taken.
What we are currently thinking of doing is
1) making the picture field thumbnail size customizable and
2) providing the ability to view the full picture behind the thumbnail.
Would appreciate comments.
