Blast email to all members upon creating an event [8073]
Guys do you think you could add a button in the events area that would allow to send an email blast "on the spot" notifying that an event has been created...(I know that people that use rss will know immediately but we have a large number of oldies using email)
This will save us substantial time since right now we have to either:
A) calculate the number of days to the event and set up a reminder for the following day, or
b) publish the event, log out obtain the link, log in again, go to the blast email area, compose the email, paste the link, send the blast....
Please save us some pain....

Sorry we never moved this to roadmap since we did not get any more comments from other users on this. We will keep this in the wishlist for now and monitor feedback.

I have run into this issue, too, and would love to be able to send event e-mails immediately in addition to the scheduled e-mails. Until now, I have just don't a blast e-mail reminder, but implementing this would save a number of steps.

I vote for an "Email Now"! This would allow for quick member updates (due to weather, change of schedule, etc). Thanks

This makes sense though of course you can use email blast function to send the announcement right away. I would be interested to hear what others think on this.

As soon as an event is created instead of having to enter a number for how many days before the eveny the mail should be sent, create a SEND NOW button. This is because I have set up events and typed in todays date for emails and had to wait for many many hours or sometimes the next day for the emails to be sent. Why can't they just go immediately?

Totally understand - but to be fair to others we want to get some more feedback and votes on this from others so that we can prioritize against other requests (of which we have about 400 in our current pipeline). This one looks small so should be easier to schedule sooner - though with upcoming holidays it probably will be at least 2-3 months.

I know its pushing it... but the easier it is the more support I get, otherwise my volunteers label it "too hard"

One way to implement it would be a button near each announcement [Send now].
