I added a search gadget to one of the templates and I limited the default search to specific content types (page contents only). I saved and checked the page using it as a user and I entered a search string. The results came up but right under the search box, there is a drop down list that allows the user to select the content types that as an Admin I had deselected.

That does not make sense to me, because if I select only one content type because that is all I want to be shown in a search, why does the user have the ability to select the other content types?

This needs to be fixed.
