On login screen add icon to allow viewing of password. An eye icon is the norm.
With the number of passwords being used having the option to view the password typed allows for corrections of miss-typed entries. Use of an eye icon to see the type password is becoming common.

I finally found one place where the eye icon appears. See "change papssword.jpg" attachment. But it is more important for users to be able to see their password while they are logging in, not just when trying to change change it. See "Login screen.jpg." Our current version is 9.9.0, released on 22 October 2025.

We desperately need either an eyeball "Show password" or text-based visibility toggle for the password field. I'm a bit dismayed by the fact the original request is more than four years old....

Now that the password requirements are more complex it would be very helpful to be able to see the passwords as you are typing, instead of a row of dots, when you renew or change your password.
