This seems like an overly complicated solve. A drag-drop option to rearrange products would be much simpler and more functional. Is this functionality in development?

Perhaps this can be addressed by providing the ability to add a sort number labeled as Product Order to each product added, with validation so as not to duplicate a product number. The Product Order would only be seen by the admin on the product page in the admin view. Then there could be a feature to sort by "Product Order" on the edit page configuration to sort by "Product Order" - I really think that if this feature were developed all the other sort options can be removed, as I would think that users would be more interested in setting a custom order than using the existing list order options.

It would be helpful to have a manual sorting order for products in the store. The available options, date added, alphabetical, don't allow the flexibility we might need.

Dmitry - That does not resolve the issue. My membership goes directly to the store to purchase. The items are locked in the order of entry (descending). I shouldn't have to create custom tags, use multiple gadgets, and customize gadget search results for something as simple as rearranging the order that items appear after being entered.

Would it be possible to be able to change the order of things in the store? Right now, they go in the order added, but it would be great to be able to change their order.

The store needs to have a sorting option and we should be able to categorize it. In other words, the store could use a lot of improvement.

If we added new products I would have to renumber all the products to get them to appear in the order I want.

What I really want is a drag and drop feature so I can order the products on the page. At the moment I have to add an alpha/numerical code to the product titles to make them appear in the order I want.

I can't really visualise it. It would need an awful lot of gadgets. We have three shops, UK, EU, Rest of the World as it is.

The ability to rearrange the order of store products...either we assign the products a number for numerical listing order or similar to the website menu we select which product the new product is before or after. This will help us group "like items" together.

PS, also if we add new products we want to put them with the other similar category products.

Ability to change product order display once entered. Once entered the product order is fixed and it is not always possible to think about the ordering that far in advance, or correct things if an error is made in the ordering. Can we have a drop and drag facility to order the products?
