Mobile App Customizations
Similar to gadgets on the web page, allow organizations to control which content appears on their mobile app such as:
- Event List
- Forums
- Polls
- Member Directory
- Custom Directories
- An app module built from a specific web WA web page
Given these options, I could build and customize my organization's mobile app to meet out needs. One organization's app may only contain a member directory. Another organization may only want to show events on their app. Someone else might chose to have all options on their app.

+1 on remaining logged in. I no longer use the mobile app because my password is unmemorizable (being an admin) and I don't carry it around. Once the mobile users' app kicks me off, I can't log in again until I get back to my home PC - where I no longer need the app.

Also allow members one time login
We have customers who have intranet/s built on the wild apricot base and members need to stay logged in to the web front end

Have you been able to make any progress with this? I understood you were working on it last year, and in your own words "Branding inside the app, though, makes total sense for me and can be quite easily done."
We are very keen to use the app, but are not able to deploy the app to our members until it has our own branding associated with it.
Presumably, something as simple as a custom logo field in the settings could be used, where a logo can be uploaded and then referenced/presented by the app?
Thanks

Does anyone have any further feedback on whether branding of mobile app is yet available?
I cannot see it in either app or web settings for the mobile app?
See screenshot - Anonymous on June 11 seems to suggest it is available?
However Team Mobile on May 29th seems to suggest it is not? -

Hello, love your software. I am using it for about 5 organizations I manage. I just started looking at the phone app as I currently use one by a company called 'GroupAhead'.
They have a nice app that does what yours does, but I want to migrate to yours so I can keep all of the content in sync, that being member info, calendar, events etc.
The thing they do that you don't, which would be nice if you do, is that theirs is 'prettier' in than I can upload an image for the icon on the phone and the organization is listed in side the app. this makes it easier for my users as most of them don't know what Wild Apricot event is.
Your functionality is great in the app, I just need to customize it to the organization with an icon, splash page, picture page etc like I can with Group Ahead.
Again, love your stuff and always willing to help out to make it better.

What is the status of this? It would be amazing if we had a separate app for our organization so that it is identifiable but either way we do like the app.
Another idea would be if the app icon on the users device was our logo. It does not matter so much what the app is in the app store but would be ideal to have it as our logo on their mobile device.

You can now offer the ability to customize icons for an app as well. This give you the advantage of allowing some graphical and color customization of the standard app but also allowing them to push an organization specific icon for at least the home screen of the phone and notifications. The store icon of course would still be standard. Thanks

We currently have 500+ members and we would like to bran our app to reflect our vision and organization focus of advancing the HR profession. I am the 2019 LSHRM President Elect and would like to introduce the app to our organization.

Branding would make it more likely that our organization (a 55+ HOA community with 414 homes [equals profiles]in Florida) could introduce the app to our members.
Technology is uncharted territory for 35% (~140) of our members. That said, we’ve made good progress over the last four years. Currently, only 65 profiles either do not have an email address/Internet access, or have not shared their email address with us. ALL 414 homes have a member profile so our directory is complete. We also have a member level for renters; the count varies by season, but averages 12-15 per season so that we stay under 500 profiles.
For quite a few members their only Internet access is by smartphone, so this app would be very helpful for them, especially if it has a link to the entire site.
Please allow each organization to add at least an image, a logo, to the app. -

Branding please

Branding is a must! It is not possible for us to use WA branding. We must build our own brand trust and the app is the very important part of it. That is why we still not use the app. I would recommend WA allow WA`s users to download the app for custom development as a logo, colors etc.

If we can't brand the app, how about at least removing the WA brand from it? The members don't know what WA is, and shouldn't be seeing someone else's brand if they can't see ours.
So give the app a generic title like "Your Membership" and replace the apricot logo with a membership card icon.

As much as I love WA, that's not the brand that will build a connection between our club and the members. Having our club's name and logo on the app will impress them incredibly.
And what a feature for WA to advertise: Your organization gets its own mobile app! (No, you can't say that now - all you can say is that members can use WA's app. Appearance is everything here.)
Android has the ability to change icons and app labels. As soon as the member logs into the app the first time, it should replace the app name and logo with one that we can specify in the Member app admin settings.

This is already in the mobile app settings, for the features supported by the app. There is only one member directory but it can be customized.

Branding would be incredibly beneficial! Especially the ability to brand the icon on the phone screen.

We definitely need branding, if only so members know which site they have logged into. I run two non-profits in the same metropolitan area and there are people who are members of both. How will they know which one they are logged into?

Karen, thanks for your feedback!
We don't have any plans for custom content currently. I suggest creating the new topic on this Wishlist. The more votes it'll get the more likely we'll implement it.
By the way, we do have a topic about forums:
https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932/suggestions/32977381
Feel free to vote and comment it if it's what you'd like to see in the app. -

I am excited about the app and looking forward to announcing to our members once the Android version is complete. What are the long term plans in terms of features and scalability? For example, is it planned or envisioned to allow each organization to manage which content appears on their app, similar to how each organization’s website is customized? I’d imagine something similar to a gadget feature. I know our organization would add a forum gadget which users would see their subscribed forums.

Hello! I second this as well. Allow some branding. Also, allow organizations to POST some basic tools in the app as well. For instance, can members access a copy of their bylaws via the app!
