Billing
I could be wrong about the way this works..
If one of my members signs up in January for a monthly plan...
then, in March they elect not to renew...
Then, in June they want to sign up again...
There seems to be not good way to handle this. The system generates an invoice in March for April. when they sign up in June, it pays for a month they didn't want--April.
Am I missing something.
I have an on again / off again relationship with Sling TV. When I resign up after allowing the membership to lapse, it pays for today and I have access to today. I'd like this site to work the same way.

Josh, the system works exactly as you described your request.
If member decided do not renew and so his status changed to Lapsed, the next time when he decides to pay, new renewal period will be calculated from the current date, from now. So they don't have to pay for past periods.Seems that in your case, on your association, some members initiated renewal process and invoice was generated (in March for April), when they decided do not renew/pay. This invoice still exists, so the payment settled with this invoice and the renewal date calculated based on the information in it.
You can void such old renewal invoices for lapsed members and next time they decide to sign-up, the new renewal invoice will be generated.
I hope I helped you with your situation. Feel free to comment here or our support team (support@wildapricot.com) if you have other questions.
