Issue with the term "Email Blast"
I have noticed that some of our contacts have disabled the receipt of Email Blasts. They are OK with Event Announcements & Workflow Emails but they do not want any "Email Blasts". As a result they have missed important notifications.
I think the reason that they have disabled them is that the term "Email Blast" is kind of synonymous with "Junk Email". So could less negative name for bulk emails be devised ?

Thank you. Your response was so prompt that I apologize for my tone, but I don't feel too bad, considering that it was being used in too limited a sense in any case. Some professionals do use the term and thus would search for it, so I understand the need to keep it in some occurrences. I'll do the same as you in our own documentation.

Randall, I'm not sure I share your opinion of the term "email blast" but I don't have a problem using the term "manual email" in its place within the help content. I've changed most occurrences of the phrase, now just using it as a synonym for those who choose to search the help using that phrase, and when referring to the one place in the UI that it appears.

Your Help system states:
"You can use Wild Apricot to send manual emails or email blasts, to people in your contact database. You can use email blasts to broadcast announcements or send out newsletters. You can send an email blast immediately or schedule it ..."Do you realize how painful it is to read that? Please STOP USING THE TERM EMAIL BLASTS. I FIND IT INSULTING, AND IN ANY CASE, YOU USE IT INCORRECTLY. (Does all-caps look offensive? Yes. I see the word "blasts" the same way.)
No email recipient wants to be "blasted." It's a terrible mindset if you want to encourage responsible email marketing (and otherwise, it appears you do). And you use it to refer only to manual emails in the WA system. The term "blast" refers to ANY mass email send, which would include automatic event announcements. So you're wrong in that, too. Please use the term "Manual" email, "Manually sent" email, "Special" email, or such.
At the risk of promoting indirect competitors of yours and mine, please consider these views:

Liz, thanks for the workaround.
This is not the only term that needs to be made organization-specific.
"Bundle" is another. See https://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8828305-customizing-the-term-bundle .
Perhaps a list of these terms could be identified and a system-wide mechanism provided to let admins rename those terms, and any others that might be added from time to time.

While it's possible that what Evgeny suggested is true - that people are unsubscribing from your emails via the unsubscribe link - I too think it's important to name things appropriately for your organization within the Profile pages on the website. There's no direct way to change the text, but here's a workaround. It's not the ideal solution, but it gets the job done. Every theme may be different, but you can use custom CSS to hide the original text and replace it with your own. This example is for the Whiteboard theme. You may have to figure out what the particular CSS selectors are in your theme.
/* Mod: Email Subscriptions Text: "Manual email blasts" */
/*Hide the original text*/
#subscribeToNewsContainer h4 span {
display:none;
}
/* Replace with your text in between the single quotes */
#subscribeToNewsContainer h4:after {
content: 'Newsletter, News & Updates';
}/* Mod: Email Subscriptions Description Text: "Mass emails from administrators, such as newsletters and other important notifications" */
/* Hide the original text */
#idEmailNewsContainer .fieldBody span {
display:none;
}/* Replace with your text in between the single quotes */
#idEmailNewsContainer .fieldBody:after {
content: 'Occasional updates, news, event notices, and the monthly newsletter';

Do you mean that a member went to his profile page and there checked off the email blast option? What about them clicking Unsubscibe link in an email they receive? You can check your sent emails log and look at links clicking stats, it can give more details
