Add a plan level between Community and Professional
We have been on the Community Plan and find ourselves outgrowing it. While it is a good problem to have, the jump between Community (500 contacts) and Professional (2000) is huge!
I would like to ask that you consider adding something in between. Maybe 750 or even 1000. Since all other features are the same, this is a big price increase to just have more members/contacts.

Wild Apricot seems to be totally ignoring these sort of requests, to add a plan level between Community and Professional, which have been made for years. Yet they claim to be devoted to helping groups do their membership maintenance more efficiently. Why won't they do this and help us out?

As our organization continues to grow, 500 will not be sufficient, but 2000 is a large jump, and is more than we need; can you consider something in between, maybe 1000?

Wild Apricot does a great job with its membership management package, except this aspect. A 1,000 contacts level tier is sorely needed, and a gap that it would seem to be easy to fill. To not do so is lose/lose for customer and supplier. The customer tries to manage membership below 500 and Wild Apricot forgoes additional revenue. How about a win/win with a 1,000 contact tier - there is incentive to grow the membership, and Wild Apricot can charge more. What's not to like about this offering?

Our non-profit alumni group currently subscribes @ the "Community" 500 active contact level. The next tier is "Professional" @ 2000. That is far more than we need + more than we can afford. Can you please provide a tier in between? It is a big step from 500 to 2000. We would propose a "middle" step @ 1000 active contacts.

Adding our vote to this. We're left with the choice of either curtailing our growth or finding another membership software provider (which we would prefer not to do) in order to stay within our budget. An option to purchase additional contacts "a la carte" would be welcome. Even allowing the individuals associated with a bundled membership to count as a single contact (since they only pay one membership fee) would free up enough space to allow us to grow again.

Agree. This is the largest step percentagewise in the pay structure - 400% Most of the others are 250% or 300%.
We are close to 500. We will never need quadruple the number of contacts, but if we go a little bit over our price will almost double.

Would love it and I think it would be helpful for growing companies if you offer option between your 500 and 2000 contacts would be incredibly helpful. Personally we are not at the point where we need the 2000 and would not want to pay the $160. But I think we would be ready for 800 contacts and would be upgrade ASAP. Now we may need to look for other options that fit our current company needs, which is unfortunate.

I want to encourage and push for adding a plan as described by Tammy.
The non-profit I work for cannot afford the Professional plan monthly fee. Why is Wild Apricot being so slow to make this happen? -

Any progress on this?

Our community team also needs to increase our size from 500 to 1000. This increase is needed to help when we have 2 events per year which exceed our plan size.
Please advise when the team will be re-considering this recommendation.

It would be very helpful to have a billing plan that is in between community and the next level. Many small non-profits cannot afford a 100 percent increase in price because they went from 500 to 501 contacts. Community limits to 500 contacts and the next level, which is double the cost, has limits up to 2000. A level with a limit of 1000 with a price point in between would help many smaller non-profits to budget and afford these increases as they grow.

Not in immediate plans so far.

While only the original post and 3 comments - there are already 20 votes for this.
However no comments from anyone on the WA team as yet.
I cannot imagine that it would be that difficult or big a code change to count contacts and members separately and to set separate maximums for each for each account.
Nor should it require any code changes to allow for incremental changes to numbers of contacts or members.
Maybe to make it really simple - just change the current contact limits on each of the existing plans to be member limits (ie contact assigned to a membership level) and then just allow unlimited contacts (contact NOT assigned to a membership level).

We too have a need to manage community event attendees (contacts) separate from members, without the price increase. We run a yearly cycling event for the community and would prefer to keep things here rather than using separate event sites.

As the web keeper for the Marquette NROTC alumni group, I handle sending out emails to members and followers. That group totals about 650 contacts at this time with projected growth to perhaps 750. I have to use Mailchimp to send out the emails because of your tier cost to jump from 500 to 2000. I strongly suggest a new tier at 750 or if needed 1000, at an affordable price so that we would not have to use two services to handle this situation. Feel free to contact me via email or at (480) 471-1920 to discuss our needs and your price. Thank you.

I absolutely concur. We will never grow in terms of numbers since we are an HOA and membership is by home. If I could have an additional 12 contacts and pay for those - I'd even be willing to pay for a block of 20 then I wouldn't have to have a complicated system.

How about implementing a form of 2 tier billing in each plan.
For example Community plan allows for 500 Members - a member is someone who is in a member level and has the ability to sign in on the site and access pages that are restricted to membership levels/groups
In addition also allow say 5000 Contacts - a contact is just an email address (with additional custom fields for selection criteria) that cannot sign in at all - ie has same access to as members of the public.
Also now that all plans (besides free) allow the same number of admins, storage and other features etc, make the billing levels more granular, ie do away with the 'Plans' and allow customers to buy memberships in increments of say 50 or 100 members with the ability to increase the blocks of members at any time and be billed accordingly for the remainder of the billing period.
Also allow 'contacts' to be bought in blocks (at a much lower rate than members, but by default allow 10 contacts for each member purchased

We've only recently signed up to Wild Apricot because of it's great potential for us with a membership of around 400, but the price hike has alarmed our treasurer. The benefit of online applications is drawing people in but our fees are very modest and I fear you will price yourself out of the market. You have a very good product, please don't drive people away now your management seems to have changed.

This should have been implemented with the pricing change.
