Is there any chance you would consider changing your primary term Guest to Attendee?
Is there any chance you would consider changing your primary term Guest to Attendee?
An “Attendee”, in the conference industry (and most any industry), is considered the primary person attending or signing up for an event whether it be an in-person or on-line.
“Guest” is referred as someone they are bringing to the event such as a wife, child or just friend or used when attending a party.
As an example;
Our 2016 Annual Conference
Attendee (primary member): $875
Guest (wife, child, friend); $350
Then you have different events they can attend within the event;
Golf
Attendee Golf: $125
Guest Golf: $125
Tours
Attendee: $85
Guest: $85
If you look at my registration “2016 Annual Conference” I have worked around what you have but it would be much clearer to my attendees if you used the correct industry standard terminology.
I do have CEO’s who register more than one attendee (with guests) and as you can see when they get to the end of the first registration, you ask for additional “Guests” (it should say “Additional Attendees”) and it is confusing.
Everything works fine when registering, it is just the terminology.
If I am missing something please let me know the proper way to use your system to accomplish our registration process.

This is an usability issue, we do use “guests” and “attendees” exactly in a way you described. Vote for http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8825707-fast-registration-or-simplify-buying-registrations to improve current behaviour

In your registration form you use the term guest as an additional full paying registrant and often they are not. They are just guests of the primary registrant and you can not price them separately.
If I am missing something let me know. I have worked with support to try and find a workaround, which I have, but still the adding the additional guest at the end of the form should be additional registrant which is priced the same as the original registrant. .

In your case, you should not probably use "guests" feature. Your CEO's should register each additional attendee again and again, not through "add a guest". This is something where our usability of registering multiple people suffers a little bit, we have a dedicated wishlist requests for this - see http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8825707-fast-registration-or-simplify-buying-registrations - you can up vote it to increase its chances to get to our product roadmap http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Product+roadmap

Not sure what you mean. We do use the term "guest" for guests only, not for main attendees.
