New Paypal Security Protocols, Will WA Be Effected?
Will Wild Apricot be effected by the new security protocols?
From the Paypal website:
Before June 30, 2018, PayPal is requiring all merchants to upgrade their security protocols to TLS 1.2, in line with the PCI mandate, and make the other required security upgrades. At that time, merchants will no longer be able to accept payments with PayPal until they make the necessary upgrades. Learn more about these requirements and how you can upgrade to avoid disruptions to your business.

Speed Up Your Website
You guys really need to work on the speed of your website with Membership fees going up. I am constantly having issues and I know it is not on my end because I have enough power to stream videos and movies.

Website Enhancements
Hi there,
I have just created our website using the WA system and while it was possible to do so in a modern way, it was definitely a difficult task due to the limitations for 'non technical' minded people.
I would love to see the following website admin/development enhancements to life easier for non technical admins:
Upgrade to a bootstrap 3 functionality for easier development
Integrate with Google fonts directly to eliminate the need to manage through theme overrides.
Create a contact form gadget that can be linked to an 'admin' account and placed on any site page or page…

Customize Payments & Reporting Export
Would be great to be able to add a custom field from the contact/membership record when exporting the payment reports in the Payments & Refunds section.

Forgot Username Utility
There needs to be a way for users to find out their username if they forget it.
A simple "Search by last name name, first name, and zip" and, if it returns 1 and only 1 result, notify them of their contact email, set the password to a temporary password, and email them a link to reset their password.
We have people who are re-joining on accident because they cannot remember their login information.
This widget should not assume that the member is active. In many cases, it is the lapsed members who need to urgently recover their username.

1 voteChris, this is contrary to security practice. Such tool could give the hacker the ability to get the full list of usernames and emails, including administrative ones, which could simplify the hacking of your data.
So, the better way is to use forgot password form or contact you.

Give them the registration process like Events
Give them the display options like 'common fields'
Give them the detailed single issue admin options like you do for pages
Assign a person as group manager
Have a proper group page - explanation, art, directory
In that way make it a real group, by applying code you have already developed in other sections.

We try to keep each request in the own thread. Some of them already exist.
And some you already can do. For example, you can create the group page and group directory on the website.

Allow multiple contacts to one email address
is there a way to allow multiple member IDs to use the same email address? This would be very helpful, as there are many couples who share one email address. Not allowing this makes it difficult to manage the contact.

Feedback on Polls
Feedback on the polls feature.
1) I love that you are working on this and really that this is a beta.
2) Would love to be able to stop and edit a poll rather than having to stop the polling and delete the whole poll.
3) Would love to be able to change the CSS (like a gadget) I do realize I can do this by changing the template CSS but the people I work with are not all webmasters.

Add 2 and more Event details gadgets on the Events Details System page
I wish I could add another Event details gadget to optimize the page for tablets.
It looks very narrow on screens with 800-1366 px width so I would make different gadgets with different CSS for each screen.

Wild Apricot Mobile App Doesn't Open on Android 8.0
Earlier when I was using the Wild Apricot app on Note 8 running Android 7.0 the app had worked smooth however upon today's Android 8.0 update now as I open the app it only crashes during the startup. Any idea how to get it working again?

currently the 'default' event schedule email is to all contacts, with selectable options after that. It would be better if the 'default selection was members' with various options after that. for example diffent classes of members or other contacts.
Currently if you create an event that is intended for members or member classes only the email schedule defualt is all contacts, irrespective of who they are and what they may be a contact for.
Yes, we administrators should be checking, but an inadvertent email to members onl is more easily managed than an email to all contacts.

Is it a legal requirement to have a mailing address (Canada Post) on the footer of a newsletter?

fix paypal to WA issues
We no longer will be running the PayPal reoccurring payment method. WA offered no support for co-ordination problems here and chose to deflect the problem to Paypal.
1 voteWe fix when we know issues are on our side. But there is nothing we can do if they are on PayPal side.
Very soon (beginning of March), we will be introducing our own Payment Processor and I recommend switching to it – Wild Apricot will be covering all the issues.

Email templates user interface
I'd like to see a better user interface for emails. No matter what browser I use, I often face eternal saving times, templates that don't react to my changes, limited options for customization, and a difference between the email I design and the email people receive.
