Agreement/Contract Acceptance or Digital Signature
It would be great if there was some way to embed an agreement button (that would record a time stamp and IP address) or digital signature into emails so we can ensure that our members "sign" a membership contract each year. This is particularly important for annual renewals, since the renewal process is much different than the initial application process.
Alternatively, if there were some way to create an online contract that included an agreement or digital signature ability, that would be great too.
Currently, the terms and conditions field doesn't allow you to customize the language to each member.

The Rules and Terms field type is at best a way of encouraging someone to look at something. It's a preposterous thing to suggest when what we need is a verifiable signature on a document.
WordPress now has a number of signature plugins. It's long overdue that Wild Apricot/Personify add this feature to its package, especially now in the coronavirus world where getting together to sign documents is ill-advised and our websites should be exemplars of best behaviour.
Perhaps someone in the user community has a usable service or work-around?

Let me add to my previous comment. Our legal advisor says that our hold harmless statement in our terms field would be acceptable if there was a way to ensure that only the new bundle member could check the "I accept" box. Right now, WA allows the bundle admin to fill in all the info for the bundle member, including accepting the term field. Therein lies our problem. This legal problem could be solved if WA could come up with a way to limit the acceptance of the term field to the member himself. We surely cannot be the only organization with a hold harmless statement that every member must accept. WA should really want to fix this and gain a major advantage over other membership management services. We will jump to another service the moment we see this feature in order to avoid liability risk!

Lack of a signature function for the Rules and Terms field type is a significant problem for our organization as well. Our legal advisor tells us that we are at risk with our hold harmless statement in our terms field because a bundle admin clicking the acceptance box on this field when he creates a bundle member does not legally mean the bundle member has accepted this statement. We need a legally acceptable signature for this. We had this in our online application (FormStack, if memory serves me) before we switched to WA, but had to abandon this when we moved to WA.

There is no signature function, but we have "Rules and terms" field type that can play this role.

I agree, I would like to be able to require some sort of signature function to ensure that our Members agree to terms and conditions. Is there a way to do this Evgeny?
