Member seller listings to share with others

Hello. I am very pleased with your product. I run an association that works in the Mergers & Acquisitions space. One of the essential services I need to provide is a listing page that can be searched, printed out, etc. Is it possible to integrate an Access Database into one of the pages?

Also, we do collaboration and have document retrieval requirements. Any plans to integrate SharePoint?

Thanks.

Paul

Thanks for the clarification. When you mentioned Products and Services I thought we were on the right track. In this case it would be products modified to a listings environment.

Please let me know if you have any further thoughts or perhaps would like to beta test in the future. I have been doing beta testing for SAGE ACT and Intuit for years.

The way I have had it work in the past is to have an access database set up that I create forms for in order to input and display data. I then embed the forms into the website pages that are dynamic based on the input to the database. This is of course done with SQL server capability on the host, etc.

To try to explain, each of our members has many seller listings that they want to share with others in our association who may have relationships with buyers they have relationships with. We also open the listings up to the search engines for access by the general public. Ideally each member would be able to log on and fill in a form with the relevant data for each individual listing they own. That data would be searchable and displayable much like the Members Page operates. The relations ship is member (one)->listings (many). I could administer this for the member if there is a way to accomplish the one->many database.

Is there anything more I could tell you?

        Thanks for all your help.

Another approach might be to create the database on my primary host and imbed it into a Wild Apricot generated webpage. I could also embed an excel spreadsheet but I am not quite sure how to do the relationship building with the Apricot members database. I first thought your idea might work. If I understand correctly though, you can only have one members type data page with the capabilities to search, export, print, etc.

It was not clear for me what you meant, sorry.

Can you describe in details what you're trying to achieve, specifically? From what I see now, it's not really possible in Wild Apricot - like a visitor gets into specific member details page form your member directory and there he can see another listing (with what?).

I took a look and I am not quite sure what you mean. In it's simplistic form this is a one to many relationship. One member, many listings. Could you help with this please? I really need and love the functionality I have with the members area that you have built in.

        Thanks.

What about our member directory page? It is an example of listing page that can be customized in wide range. Sure, it is supposed to show "member", but you can trick a little bit and use special membership level to add "services" or "products" and then set up your membership directory page to show only this level. Does it make sense?

Thanks for the quick response. The SharePoint piece I can work with by simply working with the members to set up a link in your software. I was just curious on that point.

I have a requirement to provide a listing service for my members that can also be SEO optimized for buyers. An example system can be seen here. http://www.bizbuysell.com/businesses-for-sale/?q=/wEFD2lyPTEmc3BpZD0xJnc9cQ==

It doesn't need to be as sophisticated as the example but I would like it to be dynamic. I was hoping to use something like Access to build the database and forms for use on the members website.
