Date/time stamping for member internal notes.

Hi, Good morning!

There are always multiple opportunities to create internal notes on a members account, following contact or interaction with a member - just as you might do with CRM and contact management software.

These notes relate directly to the members account, including contact and support provided to the member. It is extremely important to have an internal notes section that includes simple time-stamping, display and tracking abilities. The current implementation of lumping them all together into a memo field has been cumbersome and time-consuming to manage. The ability to keep and track effective notes is essential to any membership organization. Otherwise, it must be done offline in another application - which is what we are doing today.

Please consider this a request for enhancement and update to your fantastic software, in order to improve communication tracking and internal notes regarding our members.

    I actively support this enhancement. To achieve some degree of dated record keeping, we are looking to use the Donations functionality where an internal message can be stored against a member/ contact record. The down side is that you have to enter an amount of money and suppress the email that is generated.

    We are not looking for full CRM functionality but the ability to record actions taken for a member.

    Any update on a simple log field for member contact history? The other link isn't updated either, nor was I able to find this on the roadmap. Every update I look for something to use, besides manual entries in the notes field. Thank you for considering.

    Sorry, updated the link. I was just trying to say that current Memo is a basic text field - and what you suggested is actually a log of actions, different from simple text field.

    Evgeny, Your link takes me back to this post. However, I do basically agree with your recommendation. Whichever is easiest to implement for WA is appreciated, while most functions of a CRM you already have - minus activity/note timestamp and tracking. Thanks again for the consideration. =)
