Discounts for the total purchase
Currently, discounts are applied by member type, or by event registration type. But there is no way to discount the full cart (say 10% off your order). Why not?

Percentage discount would be really handy. Espcially if it could be applied to an event registration based on a trigger point.
If shopping cart is greater than $$$, discount 10%

We are going to release something similar to shopping cart in v4.3 (about Oct 2011) but no total discount concept to be implemented there. We will be working on discounts not earlier than 2012

Well, we do not have a concept of a shopping cart yet - so people buy individual items only - membership application or event registration etc.
This is something we are working on though - both the shopping cart and discounts - but it is some time away.
