Multiple, separately customizable donation forms or Donation campaigns
My organization runs different campaigns a year targeted towards different groups. We need several versions of the donation form, however WA allows for only one. Plus, some of our campaigns are sponsorships, not donations, while others are underwriting opportunities. We also need the ability for our members and friends to sign up for more than one level of sponsorship at once.
Some of the donation forms would be used on the public site, while another is just for members.
Is this a possibility for future releases? So far I have my organization sold on WA, except for this little snag.
While I'm begging, we have 2 organizations, one that manages the business side and the other our tax-deductible contributions. As such we have 2 different bank accounts and therefore need 2 different payment gateways. We're signed up with authorize.net, however there's only one global set up in WA for online payments. If it were possible to chose a payment method, lets say one for membership and another for donations, that would so cool. I'm sure this is next to impossible because every non-profit I consult with has the same problem when faced with having 2 bank accounts.
For now I'm working with the widgets, which is a good work-around, but my members will need to fill out 2 different profiles and they can't view all the information in their accounts at once.
Thanks so much, love the platform and hope my board votes for it tonight. Wish me luck!

This thread is being moved to the wishlist for the time being. Once we have a version release associated with it, we will move it back to the roadmap. However, we still want to hear any ideas you might have for this feature.

There did not seem to be much demand for offline payment for donations. If this is still important for you, can you please create a new separate thread about this on the wishlist and elaborate when/why is this needed.

Are you still working on a way to accept offline donations on the Donate form the same way we do on the Join form for membership applications? Thanks.

Fantastic! Thank you, my organization will really like that.

Hi Dmitry,
Thanks for the speedy reply! Yes, that is what we need, multiple donation forms with fields specific to each. Also while testing last night I discovered that even though I have online and offline checked in payment setup, when using the donation form only online is allowed. Event registration works for both, but not the donation forms.
Thanks again.

Wild Apricot does allow for multiple donation forms but they all use the same set of fields.
So my guess is what you need are multiple forms, with fields customizable in each form, correct?
About using different payment methods - actually I do not think it would be so hard. Can you please create a new thread on the wishlist about it?

Would like to be able to hide donation fund names of previous/completed fund raising efforts from the donation module visible to members when they donate. For example, a 2014 playground fund raising is complete, donors' member profiles have related receipts and administrators have corresponding records available. The playground monies are spent.
In 2015 another playground fund raiser is starter. Members attempt to donate and both the 2014 playground and 2015 playground fund names are visible. This leads to confusion and questions (unless the 2014 playground fund name is hidden).
Thank you.

In my opinion, the future of online donations is trending toward a "crowdfunding" module similar to Kickstarter and Indiegogo. It would be awesome for WA to develop a "project" module for fundraising/donations similar to those platforms (and many other popping up each day). With the passing of the US JOBS Act in April, the crowdfunding fundraising platform is going to be the next big thing. I would love for WA at the forefront of this wave (and keep all their existing features as well). This could be really powerful SaaS opportunity for you to serve the nonprofit, association, and other organizations attempting to do this with their local affinities. My 2 cents. Ben
