Tracking message sent to registered members from visitors
"Send Message" feature is great feature that we requested for about a year and we eventually got it this August. Thanks very much for that!
Now we are looking for an additional feature to that:
We really want to track how many visitors ahve sent message to our registered members - we want to track the lead that our website generated to our members - a number to attract more new members for sure.
When visitors send message to the member, we would like to receive a copy of the message - it's that simple.
We think most of WA websites will need this feature too.
Please put this on your to-do list.
Vote for this feature if you want to track the leads that your website bring to your members!

You are right, that was incorrect comment from me. I'll add it to the design queue.

It's a privacy issue - visitor should be warned that his text will be also copied to another person (administrator) so he does not add any private details into email.

Isn't the privacy already violated by having the emails appear in the log? Legally speaking, I'm not sure that what you're doing now is any less a violation than adding a cc: or bcc: to the admin. For all practical purposes, the log actually functions like a silent bcc: Just sayin'...
I have clients who have asked for this feature as well. Especially if they have a referral policy in effect. They don't want members circumventing their referral fee.

In version 4.2 we release new functionality called "Log of sent emails". All emails sent in the system can now be reviewed by administrator in a single common list or specifically for each contact. Emails sent to member using Contact form on his public profile are also logged and can be seen on Contact details, "Emails settings and log" tab.

Sorry our help page was misleading - we do not currently have it in our plans to implement tracking.
However, if this gets sufficient interest, we would definitely consider this - so I would appreciate hearing form others who need this and as much detail as possible - what/how you want to track/communicate to members.

In the on line documentation you mention tracking the contact form will be added. When? As a Trade organization this might allow us to quantify the benefit of consumer leads being passed to our members. We are thinking this might become a possible revenue stream if uses per member could be tracked. However an aggregate qty would would be useful also as a measure of our value as an association in bringing consumers to our members.
