Tracking Continuing Education Points (CEU, CEC, CPD, CPU)
There is currently no special functionality for tracking Continuing Education points/credits in Wild Apricot. It is possible to track these via custom admin-only fields but this requires manual process. We are considering adding this functionality in the future and would appreciate details on how these are typically tracked by our clients.

This is becoming a critical issue for us, and one we need to address this year. We have been looking for alternative AMS providers and honestly none are perfect, but as this need becomes more pressing we may need to move to another system that can provide it. We are too thinly staffed for a people intensive work-around. After having gone through adding a SSO option to link to another feature for our members, we cannot imagine doing that again! Wild Apricot, please work on this!

This is a driving industry issue and will cause associations to change AMS because it is industry standard to be able to integrate the LMS with the AMS. We should be able to use both platforms with them talking to each other. But, we do not want to change our LMS. It's easier to change AMS. Besides, other AMS have great website templates and more automated features.

As a state society of opticians, we provide continuing education for our members which is required by our state licensing board. The ability to track the CEC's by attendee/member and the ability for the member or administrator to be able to generate certificates or a report of CEC's earned would be spectacular.

I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America and my local State Affiliate. I just attended a national conference in Atlanta and overwhelming this is a feature that would be very helpful in our workflow. I believe our industry has many users of your software and this feature would be amazing. Our National Organization has the ability to track national merits but every state affiliate who uses your software does not.

Just to keep this live. We are currently assessing Wild Apricot as a solution, it ticks many boxes however CPD is a key feature in our requirements. Is this action being progressed / on the roadmap so we would at least know how long we would have to maintain manual processes?

We really need a way to be able to track courses a person takes and how many continuing professional education hours they earn for any course, webinar, conference, etc. Basically, we are looking for a transcript tool. Now that we have a certification program, it is critical we have a database that can easily track what programs a person has participated in and how many hors they earned. It needs to also be viewable by the member when they log in to their profile so they can self track. Since this is mission critical, we can't use a database that can't provide a transcript tool.

We need the ability to track CEUs based on our events, also for the members to be able to input CEUs that they have taken from another source (we would like the latter to be an option that can be turned on or off). After the member has met their CEU requirements, we would like a system generated email that would send them a certificate. We would also need to be able to pull together a report of members CEUs. We would need custom categories of CEUs (different levels). The members would need the ability to log in and see the CEUs they have earned and date they were earned and expire.

We would love to have the ability to track CEUs based on our own events but also for the members to be able to input CEUs that they have taken from another source. After the member has met their CEU requirements, we would like to then email them a certificate. We would also need to be able to pull together a report of members CEUs. We are currently using a link to a Jot form that we have made. It has too many shortcomings. Thanks.

I added this comment under another post relating to generating certificates of attendance but they are related. One of our primary objectives as a professional organization is to provide ongoing education (CE/CPE) to our members. I need to add that this missing element is the one thing that has come up at each of our semiannual board meetings as a reason to consider an alternative to WA, which I"m hesitant to do.
This [the ability to generate and maintain CPE] would be HUGE for us as well. About 99% of the events we hold require us to generate a certificate of attendence as proof for CE(CPE). We currently do this from an export of attendees and generate in PDF form. WE then upload these to our site under files and provide a unique link to each member via a separate mail merge. It would be ideal if we could generate these via WA and have them linked to each members account or event history so they could retrieve them independently.
I think personify has some similar functionaliy and APIs. Is this something that the new relationship/ownership could benefit /be leveraged?

We have a need to track more than just regular CEUs earned for a workshop. For instance, our board-certified providers can earn credit for participating in other professional activities that earn equivalent CEU credits (e.g., serving on a board, writing a peer reviewed article). It would be wonderful if WA had a way to create custom categories of CEUs that would allow the member to claim credit through their profiles, which would then be tracked on both an annual and biennial basis.

Both requests would be helpful--an automatically generated form in the email, but also the ability for members to log in and see the events they have attended. In case they lose the emailed form, maybe they could hit a button on their CEU summary page to resend a copy of the form! Thanks for your consideration.

Rodger, I merged your suggestion into existing one. But I'm not sure about introduction part of the comment - what did you mean by that? The wishlist forum is a public forum where all customers of Wild Apricot can share their ideas on how to improve the system or add their votes to existing ideas to promote them. We use votes as a measure of interest in particular ideas and prioritize them higher in our development plans.

Just to keep this active, yes, we need this! If users could log in and see their attended events and the CEU value for each, they would have a log for reporting. It'd be ideal if the system could create a certificate for each event they attend (similar to the recently created membership card feature?), but at least a list of attendance would be something they could submit if audited.

It seems like this idea is quite popular... any idea when this might be released? We are looking at doing CPD for our association and we use WA for membership management.. it would be fantastic to have this implemented in the next release.

Tracking of Continuing Education Units needs to include the name and CEU value of each session they attend at an annual conference or workshop. It needs to include the option to generate an official transcript that contains the detailed information that can be generated by date ranges.
Is this an option that is being considered in the near future?
