Waitlist - Emails when Registered
We use automatic waitlist rather than manual. When a spot opens up, the person on the waitlist is registered and they receive the standard registration email. We find that there is confusion with this as there isn't a message saying "good news, a spot opened and we've removed you from the waitlist and you are now registered".
Augmenting the waitlist process to include a unique version of the registration email would eliminate the confusion and make sure that members understand they are officially registered.

Adding to this, can the waitlist be made available for viewing to those already registered?

Yes please. Let us tailor the You've-Been-Promoted-From-Waitlist message.

Due to late cancellations, waitlist notification often comes with short notice. The template should have a clear recognition that the notice is a delayed waitlist triggered confirmation. It also should include a very obvious way to decline the registration for the event immediately rather than having to log into the website to manage the registration. "To review your registration details, go to your registration details page" is not explicit enough about accepting or declining or cancelling cancel (when cancellation is permitted). For instance, a mobile response that says "I will come" and if not confirmed within a variable specified time, that registration is automatically cancelled and next wait list participant is emailed.

It would be nice if Wild Apricot would automatically generate an invoice and send a notification for waitlist registrations which are completed manually. There is a button "Send notification" just below "Complete registration" (not shown in the help topic https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/3-event-waitlists#gettingoffwaitlist), but this is gone once one has clicked "Complete registration". I didn't find an option to generate an invoice, and had to do this manually, as well as manually triggering the notification mail.
