Make Date field to have Today as a default value on forms
On our Membership Application, there is a field called "Application Date." Using the date field. I would like it to be able to default to today's date.

Any date field should be able to go to "today" or key in a date without having to use the calendar to search for the date (e.g. arrival and departure dates for an event one year out )-- it is cumbersome to use the calendar to choose dates that are in the next year

It is possible to have someone apply today and not finish the process months later, but thank you for the suggestion. I will escalate to the board.

Why not using system field "Member since"? It adds the date of application automatically
