Give the ability to show 'Nicknames or Handles' for members
give the ability that members can include their 'handles' and 'nicknames' on their profile so that when they sign upto an event their Nickname displays instead of their real life name. (obviously their real name would still be attached to their profile but no one else would be able to see it.
We are an airsoft club and we require this for safety reasons.
Most people know each other by their in game handles so its a feature we're really looking for

If a contact has a nickname or preferred name which is completely different to their first name, it would be great to be able to show that instead of their first name in informal comms, but show their official first name on invoices. Right now, there's no way to do this rather than editing for individuals. We can only use the first name field as not everyone has entered (or would enter) a nickname. Any suggestions?

This would be a good thing for us - we're just starting with Wild Apricot, and our directory uses a nickname vice the first name when the nickname is filled in. We would now probably need to export to a spreadsheet to create the directory to be able to continue using the nickname.
