Add a plan level between Community $70 and Professional $130

We have been on the Community Plan and find ourselves outgrowing it. While it is a good problem to have, the jump between Community (500 contacts) and Professional (2000) is huge!

I would like to ask that you consider adding something in between. Maybe 750 or even 1000. Since all other features are the same, this is a big price increase to just have more members/contacts.

I want to encourage and push for adding a plan as described by Tammy.
The non-profit I work for cannot afford the Professional plan monthly fee. Why is Wild Apricot being so slow to make this happen?

Our community team also needs to increase our size from 500 to 1000. This increase is needed to help when we have 2 events per year which exceed our plan size.

Please advise when the team will be re-considering this recommendation.

It would be very helpful to have a billing plan that is in between community and the next level. Many small non-profits cannot afford a 100 percent increase in price because they went from 500 to 501 contacts. Community limits to 500 contacts and the next level, which is double the cost, has limits up to 2000. A level with a limit of 1000 with a price point in between would help many smaller non-profits to budget and afford these increases as they grow.

As the web keeper for the Marquette NROTC alumni group, I handle sending out emails to members and followers. That group totals about 650 contacts at this time with projected growth to perhaps 750. I have to use Mailchimp to send out the emails because of your tier cost to jump from 500 to 2000. I strongly suggest a new tier at 750 or if needed 1000, at an affordable price so that we would not have to use two services to handle this situation. Feel free to contact me via email or at (480) 471-1920 to discuss our needs and your price. Thank you.

I absolutely concur. We will never grow in terms of numbers since we are an HOA and membership is by home. If I could have an additional 12 contacts and pay for those - I'd even be willing to pay for a block of 20 then I wouldn't have to have a complicated system.

We've only recently signed up to Wild Apricot because of it's great potential for us with a membership of around 400, but the price hike has alarmed our treasurer. The benefit of online applications is drawing people in but our fees are very modest and I fear you will price yourself out of the market. You have a very good product, please don't drive people away now your management seems to have changed.

I agree! I volunteer with a small nonprofit and the fee increase hurts a bit. If we could jump up to 1000 contacts for just a little bit more than the community plan, we could get by for several years before we would have to jump up again (or at least we hope we'll grow that much!). It seems nitpicky, but even a few dollars for a nonprofit is a lot.

This is a big jump for us, too. I'm aggressively archiving lapsed members and still hovering close to 500 at all times, because almost doubling the cost of our plan would not fit our budget. I would appreciate an intermediate price tier, also. We already pay one year at a time to get the discount that offers.

I completely agree. WE received our membership fees each May and cannot afford to pay for 2 years membership in advance. Our committee are also looking at alternative models because of the huge jump. We are a non profit organisation and currently struggle to pay $90 a month. Can you help us to grow and give us a middle ground?

  • V-Club commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Agree with these comments... the price increase from $70 to $90 was significant for only 500 members. Mandating a price increase of an additional $70 for a tier level that includes another 500 members is not cost justifiable . I expect to reach 500 members by year end 2018. The community plan at $90 per month for 750 members is something I can live with but if the monthly fee will increase to $160, I have a problem with that level of increase. I realize there is a discount if you pay for a year or two in advance but the club is not going pay $1632 in advance which is a 15% discount.

My club has same issue for different reasons. We have just over 200 paying members, but want to keep inactive members in the system to receive emails... often inactive members become active again a few years later, but that's less likely if we have to archive them!

totally agree. an additional $70/mo to have 501 contacts is not very fair. I'm willing to pay my fair share, but there's a huge difference between 501 and 1999 contacts.

We have the same problem with the huge difference between the Community (500) and the Professional (2000) plan. Since we are a Not For Profit we find ourselves in the unhappy position of trying to curtail our membership numbers since we are very close to 500. Member 501 is a very expensive member and it would be difficult to grow to the break even membership number in a short time.

  • Stephanie Hamby commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

There is a large difference between an organization with 500 contacts and 2,000 contacts. It would be extremely helpful to have a membership level for up to 1,000 members.

  • Tobias Lofstrand commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Same situation for our volunteer based organization. Exploring alternatives as 600-750 contact range likely is needed withing the next year. Can not justify jump to the Professional plan or have the resulting cost increase approved by our board of directors at this time.

  • Peter commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

We are in the same boat, We allow 2 email addresses per membership and it we can only send one email per membership. We also will not go to the next level as it is too expensive for what we have budgeted for.

We too will be looking for an alternative if we cannot stay withing our budget.

  • Deane Southworth commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Our club is hovering around 500 contacts and we might soon exceed that number. We will be going from $70 to $90 in april at our current level. If we exceed 500 we will go to $160. Our board is now looking at alternate software because they feel we can't afford to pay that much. Could you look at intermediate pricing for a 1000 contact level or consider raising the Community plan to maybe 750 contacts.
