Have a totally customizable email blast template.
Our organization sends many different types of eblasts. It would be so helpful if there was a blank template option where text and image boxes could be added anywhere and sized. It would have to have the usual options: text & background colors, font choices, etc. That would make it easier to keep our branding consistent and give us complete flexibility in design.

When you send an email to contacts and choose "New" email and "Blank" option, the content of email should be empty (well, it will have some default text which can be deleted). Then, in content, you can add a table and change background color of each cell. This can do the job.
We're currently also trying to simplify overall experience in composing emails, including email template; the update is planned on Q1 of 2016.

As far as I can tell, it is NOT a blank template. It has a silver banner across the top, and I can't change the color. I can't add background colors to blocks, just the text. The Help pages say, "Make changes to the subject, message, pictures, and macros that appear on the template." So it seems that it is only content one can change, not design. For example, how would one add or delete a content box?
If I am missing something, please advise.

Not sure what you mean: you can compose email using blank template, we have it. Is there anything I miss?
