We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.

Currently we can only manually "send now" announcement and reminder emails regarding the approaching deadline, because announcements and reminders have to be before the start date of the event.

I merged another very similar thread into this one, they should be solved together – the registration to multiple events should be simple and fast if possible. There are a number of suggestions in comments on how to achieve this.

Allow people to add event registrations to their cart until they are ready to check out / pay. Ideally, allow multiple registrations in some events and single registrations in others.Ideally, allow all registrant information (the registering individual as well as guests they are also registering) to be retained and reused, at least in the current session, to reduce the amount of retyping in separate events by the registering individual.Ideally allow registrations in bundles of events as well as individual events to ensure that capacity can be managed at the event level (lowest) while still allowing one registrant to register in an event via one bundle and another to register in the same event but via a different bundle. Cancellation of a bundled registration, if allowed by the administrator would need to cancel individual event registrations as well to maintain capacity counts.

The importance of this feature is not captured in a simple vote. It may not have more votes than a few ideas, but it is a fundamental requirement of charitable and not-for-profit associations.
Apricots, is it going to hit the feature list in an upcoming release?
I encourage all voters to remove their votes from ideas that currently rank higher on the wish list. Clearly common sense is not enough. Adjust your voting to ensure that this idea hits the development queue.
