An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedWe currently have to do this manually for our "Who are our Members" section which has charts on title, location, responsibilities (which we track), etc. It's hard to update and doesn't stay current.

An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedWe currently handle this by creating different membership levels. After the deadline for renewal the setting is to change the membership level to the higher rate level. It works quite well.
What would be nice to have is the reverse. For those members who have been with us for several years and have consistently renewed ontime, having the ability to automatically change them to a "member in good standing" level at a reduced rate after a certian time period would be nice. We currently do this manually but it's not consistent and is a lot of work.

Merged together several closely related by meaning ideas – so we can properly resolve them all together, in different live scenarios
VCOMA supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedI see this as important because the last thing we want is for our members or previous non-member event attendees to block our event emails on their email system and then find they don't get any renewal notices or other important announcements (which has happened!). Then they don't renew and we lose business.
At the very least, allow us three email addresses - account / admin announcements (renewals), events, and other non-critical announcements (newsletters).

An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedMy REAL preference would be to have the admin receive an email notification anytime a change is made to any field on a members profile but I have asked for this in a seperate post to no avail.

An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedHey everyone, you may not be aware but PayPal HAS two new payment plan features, installment payment plans and automatic payment plans (different than recurring payments). All WA needs to do is allow us to create memberships using these two new payment options. I can't imagine it would be too hard to create these but it would make a HUGE difference to us to be able to offer these as recurring payments has never worked in the way we want it to as it's a subscription rather than automatic payments (see the descriptions below from PayPal). WA currently offers use of the "Subscription" payments. These are available even with PayPal Payments Standard edition.
Automatic Billing https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_button-designer&factory_type=auto_billing&fli=true - Sign customers up for a billing agreement that allows you to charge them a variable amount - up to a mutually agreed upon maximum - each billing cycle. For example, utility bills.
Installment Plan https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_button-designer&factory_type=payment_plan&fli=true - Let customers pay for items using flexible multiple payments.
Subscription https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_xclick-sub-factory&fli=true - Offer subscriptions or other recurring payments for items like magazine subscriptions or club memberships.

An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedThank you! I was just coming on to post a note about this exact need.
Since you don't allow differentiation between members, sponsors, etc. we have created different member types with different access etc. (per your recommendation).
This is fine except, some sponsorship levels do NOT include full contact details to be displayed on the sponsor directory. We can set this initially in the access section but have no way to lock them out from making changes and adding all kinds of information like name, industry, logo, etc. Since we charge by what information is included, this is a huge problem.
Also, fields that are marked so that the member can not edit it in their profile should not allow an edit to the profile views either!

An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedI agree. It actually makes using the other widgets difficult too as it makes the page too wide to fit within my webpage without scrolling.

VCOMA supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedI completely agree that a listserv is critical. We currently have to use Yahoo Groups which requires our members to have yet another login but the service has been repeatedly voted as one of the most important features of membership to our members. The seperate login causes us more trouble than we or our members would care for. We send maybe 10 emails a day through it so I highly doubt the load would be that great (we have trained them over the years through moderating to take conversations outside of direct questions and answers offline).
An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedA list serv solution is VERY important to us. We currently have to utilize several different outsourced options to acheive our different methods of communicating with members which is costly and confusing to members as they have multiple places to login for features. In an effort to streamline everything, we'd love to see this implemented. We have used a message board (similar to what is offered on Wild Apricot) and a listserve and there is no question our members prefer the listserv's ease of use by a factor of 9 to 1. Anything that helps the members communicate with each other more easily is good business for us. We are here to serve our members. After all, isn't that what we're supposed to be focussing on rather than what's easier for us...?
Couldn't this option be, well, optional for those who desperately want it?

An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedWell, we have the automatic headers hidden on function pages (like the events calendar) because the formatting was so weird, so it hides the RSS button too. Want to move it out of the header so it's seen again.
An error occurred while saving the comment VCOMA commentedThis doesn't seem to do anything...

I love this idea and was coming to the feed to add it myself! We could use it to add our annual sponsors logos to the side bar or members in a certain region, or new member avatars in general. Please, please, please create this for us! :)
