I believe the best way to address this is to have Address as a special type of field which gives a set of fields to fill in. Admin then can have many addresses (like Home, Work, etc.) for contacts and the system will know how to handle this kind of field – including convenient data entry with converting ZIP into City, etc.

I recommend an email template for attendance certificates to be sent to all checked-in or registered participants.

We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.

I suggest this solution until a donation option is enabled: On the "Registration Form" tab for the Event, click "Add New Field." Select the "Type" as "Extra Charge Calculation." Name the New Field something like, "Would you like to add a donation?" Set the "Multiplier" to "1" or another number if you want a different increment like 5 or 10 (i.e., in USA, $1 or $5 or $10 increments). Leave blank the entries for "Limit Order to ___ (min) to ___ (max)" or set a maximum if you wish. Enter any "Field Instructions" you want. Then click "Save" at the top left of the page.
That should allow adding a donation to whatever registration fee you set.

I would also like a way to combine address-line-1 and address-line-2 on one line in a Member Directory.
