Event Registration Settings defaults
I would like the ability to set defaults for Event Registrations, so that I don't have to click through several things that I always want to be the same for every event, especially (for me):
Taxes:
Multiple Registrations:
Guest Registrations:
For Guest Registrations:
If Unavailable:
I'm sure there are others who always have free events, or always have the same limit, etc., so there should be the ability to set a default for each registration item.
It would be preferable if there was a page under the Events Section of the Settings page where I could set the defaults for new events for each registration field. Currently there are several defaults that I have to manually change for each registration option -- at our conference this year we have 31 different registration options (once release 5.7 comes out for "Limit number of selection for individual registration options" that will be significantly decreased in my case) and it's frustrating to have to manually go through each registration option to confirm that all settings are correct.
Thanks for sharing, we’ll be collecting comments for now.

Unfortunately for me the actual registration types are generally different for each event. Our conference this year has Member, Student, Nonmember, Volunteer, and Presenter options, with Early, Regular, and Onsite rates for each, which also each have corresponding Available Periods.
However, we also have several events during the year which may only have Member, Student, and Onsite rates, or just Regular and Onsite.
So if I copy an event, I also copy all of the registration types, and then I have to go through and manually change them all, which doesn't save me any time.
If all my events were more similar, then your idea of an Admin Only template would work, but in my case it doesn't.

My fault - it does. So, then what I suggested can be a workaround for now: create an "Admin only" event and use it as a template for new events.

Event copying doesn't copy the registration types and settings now?

What if we improve our event copying process and would properly copy all event registrations, their settings, etc.? This way, you can have a "template" event and just copy it each time you want to create a new one.
