Export templates: save and reuse columns to export
Allow several templates to be created in the Export registrants in each Event. You currently can either export all information (a button) of pick each thing that you want to export. To make the program easier for novices to use, we need the webmaster to create standard export templates/reports. Currently a set of instructions need to be given to new users on exactly which buttons to select to get the exact export report we need.
We need somebody to select all the fields and then save/name the report for them to use. You already have a select all button just need the ability to create a few saved names to select.

I need to create different spreadsheets for different officers. It would save a lot of time if I were to be able to save export report templates.

So while a really desirable idea, it is already about 3 years 8 months old and only has 13 votes. So go figure what the chance of this being implemented is.
From pragmatic perspective, setup an Integromat scenario that will read selected records from the WA DB and populate a row for each into a Google sheet with the desired columns (fields).
You can even schedule this to run automatically on say the first day of each month and then send an email to whomever needs to know that the sheet has been created.
If you have never done any Integromat scenarios with WA - first attempts might be difficult - but really not that hard. Also most likely that the transaction count and data volumes will be low enough to fall inside the capacity of the free Integromat plan.

We're running the same exports for invoices on a monthly basis. It would be great to be able to save the criteria for the export similar to the saved searches. We'd save a lot of time and avoid potential errors in setting up the export criteria by hand every time. The ability to name the export file before saving would be a big help, too.

This would be a valuable time saving tool. Our organization has multiple saved searches, and not all require having the same data exported. It is a pain to either turn on selected data fields, or turn off selected data fields if using a generic export of data. With a generic export, been deleting the undesired fields from the exported excel file. Saving exported formats would be a great tool!!!

My comments are related to improving the process of event registration exports. My request is mostly centered on building a specific export template for non-supper users to use rather than build their own export grouping each time. We have 3 specific spreadsheets that we export event data by participant;
1. Required airline passenger ticketing information. Format is set by the airline, but most are the same and we capture all the required information.
2. Financial Income transmittal’s, by participants to send by spreadsheet to the Treasurer for recording. Very simple: name, amount & item description.
3. Roommate and condo lists, plus descriptions of none standard items purchased.
All of this information can currently be created into a spreadsheet through the export system but it requires a bit of work by me to choose fields to export and then to format the spreadsheet. After creating the process, need the ability to copy this template for later use by less experienced user. So in nutshell, want the ability to create custom exports and name these like you do with custom searches.

Ideally would like the named templates to be shared with other events so it wouldn't have to be built for each event.

The ability to "Save" Export fields selected. We have multiple saved searches that we need to define the list of fields to be exported for each saved search.
