allow membership levels for events
We have events that are open only to those at a certain level of achievement. We can restrict events to members only, but have no way to restrict registration only to members with proper certification. We need a way to setup events so that the event admin does not have to manually check the qualifications of each person who registers.

I see that you created another idea about Q&A forum, I commented there.

I understand that, but you no longer have a Q&A typr forum where users can ask questions & get helpful suggestions not only from WA but experienced users as well. I always found the exchange of ideas in the old forum very useful as a new member getting up to speed.

Thank you for the comments. By its nature, this is a wishlist forum where we collect as much comments as we can from our clients. When it's time to act on them, we use the comments for our analysis and design. For now, we're busy with something else, sorry.

Two weeks ago, I was asked to provide more details. I have & there has been no response. Has this been forgotten?

I have an admin controlled common field set up that has our judge classifications. The problem is that info is only available if the member logs in before registering. Since our events are members only, it must check that the email address is valid before proceeding to the next screen. If a valid email address is entered, why can't it pull all the member profile info into the event registration. This would also speed up entry since the member's contact info would be automatically entered. If extra common fields I have set up can be pulled into the event registration profile, that will resolve our main concerns

We are a BBQ association. We conduct BBQ competitions. Our membership consists of both cook teams and judges. Judges are classified as Trained, Certified or Master. We use Events for judges to register to judge at our contests. Event registration is restricted to members only, but we have new members who have not gone thru training yet. Even though they are members, they are not eligible to serve as a judge. Right now, we have no way to be sure only those who have completed training can register to judge. To make things a bit more complicated some cook teams members are also certified as judges. They cook some contests & judge other contests. I am looking for a way to keep from having to check the profile of each registrant to be sure they are eligible to serve as a judge. We also have different dues rates for individuals and families of 2, 3 or 4 members.
I do have an admin controlled field in each member profile where the admin classifies the member as a trained judge, certified judge, master judge or needs training. Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to pull this field into the profile of event registrants. Any suggestions?

Then I'm confused and not sure what you're asking for. Can we go differently? What is your scenario, not based on Wild Apricot limitations? What is it you're trying to achieve? What kind if subscriptions you have and what kind of events? Based on this information, we will be able to translate all that into Wild Apricot terms and design required changes.

We have membership levels set based on dues. ie: individual, family of 2, family of 3, etc. To go that route, we would have 4-5 different individual membership levels, another 4-5 for family-2, etc. We go up to family of 4 so this would mean a total of 20+ different membership levels. Seems that would be very confusing.

If your "level of achievement" is defined as a membership level, then in events you can restrict particular registration type for a membership level. Would it work for you? See "Availability" setting in registration type form - http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Registration+types+and+settings#Registrationtypesandsettings-Addingaregistrationtype
