An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedCindy, I hear you and do not disagree with you. Right now, we're focusing on top votes items. This one goes as a second priority for now - until we're done with high-voted ones.
Evgeny Zaritovskiy supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedFor our purposes in Wild Apricot, they are the same. Thank you for the details
An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedTracy, I have merged your suggestion to another existing and similar one. Currently, there is no way to force people to pay for membership during event registration - this is something they have to do themselves.
An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedAlbert, for email validation - can you please open and vote here:
http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8826559-validate-e-mail-addressesAn error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedIt does work for new members, but there is nothing for existing one, to encourage them to renew their membership.
But I think that even what we have now is not the best approach to follow - it's too complicated for site visitors. We will have to rethink the overall approach to this problem as soon as we get to analysis here, so keep posting.
An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedInteresting... Actually, event registration process already encourage people to apply for membership. If an event has registration type that is available for members only, then when a user enters his email and presented with the list of available registration options, there will special blue box at the top saying "Note: some registration types are only available for members." and button [Apply for membership]. If the user clicks the button, he can apply for membership and in the end of it he will be suggested to proceed with event registration. If he does that, then in the end he will be able to pay together for membership and event invoices.
Why does not it work for you?
An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedLatest release 4.3 has a change in event registration workflow - if email is connected to member and it has lapsed status, then system clearly suggests to renewal his membership (gives a button). Does it help?

An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedRandall, thanks for sharing. That's a lot of comments and looking into our internal priorities we won't be fixing this particular request soon enough. We're going to focus on top requested items in the wishlist and while addressing them, we will be also simplifying event setup and registration process.
I will still leave this comment here in the wishlist as it shows in details important issues we can solve in order to improve our even management module.

An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedThanks for sharing. What you can do now in Wild Apricot, is to create a separate content page where describe all your current membership levels and their benefits (manually). For each level description, you can add a link to apply for it. Each link will go to a separate page where you place Membership application gadget with a single level allowed to apply to. All these separate application pages are hidden from menu (visitors do not see it). From visitors point of view this is more or less the same UX.

An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedI realized that I'm not sure what the problem is here. We have attendance report that can be printed from inside the event page. What is the problem here? I'm considering closing it.

An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedThank you very much, Denis, I appreciate your time to explain your situation. For now, it will be in our wishlist backlog to collect other customers comments and understand importance of it.
An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedI'm not sure I understand the setup. Do your members pay monthly for several months (while the season is high) and then they just pause for the rest of time and then continue paying next year?
Is it really common to do so? Why not taking some "annual" fee to be part of the club?
Just curious to understand a wider situation in the Sport world.

An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedHow would you define a duplicate contact? What are criteria to recognize duplicates?
An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedNo progress. See Product roadmap http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Product+roadmap for our current progress and nearest plans.
An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedNot possible, you're right. We were considering doing that as a part of basic "Merge" feature but separated it for future updates. Thanks for bringing it up, I've added this into product backlog - but no promises for the release date.

An error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedI can see a number of supporters here, but I'm not sure how is it different from creating a nice form to fill in in Word (for example) and sending it manually to your members? Or, do you want to just automate this process? If so, how do you envision it to be done - like you click some button and then the system generates a PDF that you print and can put into an envelope?

I believe the best way to address this is to have Address as a special type of field which gives a set of fields to fill in. Admin then can have many addresses (like Home, Work, etc.) for contacts and the system will know how to handle this kind of field – including convenient data entry with converting ZIP into City, etc.
I renamed the idea to have Address in titleAn error occurred while saving the comment Evgeny Zaritovskiy commentedI believe the best way to address this is to have Address as a special type of field which gives a set of fields to fill in. I will rename the topic. -
New prorate option for new applications - charge for the rest of current period AND add new full one
