Event Loading and Bundle Membership Flexibility
Easier ways to load bulk members into an event. Also, user defined way to bundle memberships, so that if it is 3 people in a bundle, then it costs Xx3 where 4 people cost Xx4 and 5 costs Xx5 etc.

Notes field in events - stop gap for wait list functionality
It would be really great to have a Notes field in each event that Admins could use for adding names on a wait list or just notes about the event as we create it. I know you are working on a wait list function but this would be a great stop gap.

Is there any chance you would consider changing your primary term Guest to Attendee?
Is there any chance you would consider changing your primary term Guest to Attendee?
An “Attendee”, in the conference industry (and most any industry), is considered the primary person attending or signing up for an event whether it be an in-person or on-line.
“Guest” is referred as someone they are bringing to the event such as a wife, child or just friend or used when attending a party.
As an example;
Our 2016 Annual Conference
Attendee (primary member): $875
Guest (wife, child, friend); $350
Then you have different events they can attend within the event;
Golf
Attendee Golf: $125
Guest…1 voteThis is an usability issue, we do use “guests” and “attendees” exactly in a way you described. Vote for http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8825707-fast-registration-or-simplify-buying-registrations to improve current behaviour

event time
The event time now shows up on the calendar view of events. This is great! I also would like to have the event time show up when someone looks at the event details. Right now our event details show up in a box that show: when (date), location, spaces left and price. The event time is not displayed until a user selects the "register" button. I would like it displayed along with the date, location, etc.
8 votesThe event time is shown in event calendar, list, details and registration pages.

List of event registrants who have cancelled
It would be useful to be able to list contacts who have, at one time, registered for an event, then subsequently cancelled. Having such a list would allow prioritizing limited event slots to people likely to actually attend.

Multiple suggestions to improve event management
We have many events per week because we are a large program. Some events are recurring, but often with differences each week (look at http://www.cmacskiracing.com/JuniorU16Calendar/ for an example). I get continual feedback from our coaches who need to enter items in the calendar that this is very cumbersome. For instance: 1. the event list a very sparse/inefficient layout. Can you format this in rows like a spreadsheet so I can see many more events? The current design uses only the left half of my screen. 2. the event list has no ability to filter by Tags 3. the event list…

Quickly pre-register all members to an event for an easy attendance checkin
Our association owns a beach which requires (400+) members to sign in at the gate. It would be highly useful it we could (pre)register all members at once. This would allow the gatekeeper to check in members using this great new WA feature and simultaneously create a nice log for our records.
Another desired feature would be to create reoccuring events as we would need such a prepopulated event on a daily basis during our 10-week summer season.
Thank you. You are doing great work.
1 voteOur mobile app for admins is focused on checking in attendees and we consider this as a main tool to do so. I do not see us doing this particular suggestion. Closing.

Membership Information to show up when manually entering event attendees
I receive a lot of event registrations through Email and mail and when I enter them manually in the event, there is no way to see if they are a member or not. This is helpful as we have different pricing for members and nonmembers. I have to leave the event page and go into the contacts to verify if someone is a member or not, then go back to the events page and invoice the appropiate amount.

Event Merging
It would really be helpful in managing events to be able to merge two events into one.
For example, we had to close one event record because an item had reached capacity. I would like to merge the two events: “Annual Meeting 2013 Special Events – Closed 1” and “Annual Meeting 2013 Special Events” into one event.

Event Registrations and Payment routed to external site
I am a small scuba diving club - The Whalers Dive Club http://www.whalersdiveclub.com (less than 100 members); most of our events free such as monthly meetings; a few special events require registration and a fee. WildApricot event registration, reminders and payment processing works great for these.
However, we outtask all of our monthly and annual dive trips to an outside organization. Registration and payment must be made to them. By doing this I lose visibility to who in our club is going on these trips. I can request the members to register on our web site, and then go to…2 votesWe have RSVP as a separate request and working on it now.
I do not see us doing special redirect to another site after registration, sorry. Closing. -
Avoiding members getting the wrong registration price
(Documenting thoughts based on email dialog with a client)
Wild Apricot allows you to create event registrations with different prices for members and non-members. Member eligibility is checked in one of two ways:
1) if a member is logged in, then we know who he/she is and can check membership level and status
2) otherwise we check the email the enter on the first step, look up the record in your contact database etc.
The problem with #2 is that a person might use a different email by mistake - and then WA wouldn't know about membership and not allow…

Allow event payments to be independent of the actual event [12984]
Man...that is going to take forever! Can this be addressed in future so
we dont have to keep an bunch of past events? From: Technical Support

Subject: [3A6-1697705F-9526] Overpayments
I see. Deleting an event deletes all its event registrations AND invoices linked to those registrations - they are interdependent. So now you have payments without corresponding invoices. Unfortunately the only way to handle this now is manually delete all these payments one by one.Cheers,

Event Registration Process Very Confusing Because of Cookies!
It appears that when someone starts the event registration process and successfully gets past the CAPTCHA screen, a cookie is saved in the browser. It someone then moves off this page (without seeing the Cancel button in the lower left part of the page which is pretty easy to not notice) this cookie stays in the browser.
When this person then returns later to the registration page, they get a grayed out entry for the registration type they started with a confusing yellow diamond and confusing mouse roll-over message.I would suggest that this cookie be automatically deleted the moment the…

bulk delete expired/obsolete events
We are a cycling club. We use the events calendar to list our monthly ride schedule (one event per ride). At the beginning of a new month we want to delete last month's rides--typically there are 300+ rides a month–to clear out the clutter of expired events.
Imagine how tedious it is: For each one you want to delete, you have to select an event, click Delete Event, click OK on the popup confirmation of deletion dialog, click Back or Event List to go back.
Why can't the interface be like the popular webmail systems (e.g., GMail, Yahoo Mail), where…

clarify wording of event registration
Some of our members are getting confused by a lot of things. One problem is that we integrated an existing database, so most of them don't have passwords yet. And we would actually prefer for people to fill in their details, as it gives us a chance to verify their info.
Current wording (people are confused and think that they HAVE to log in):

Remove event date from title tag RSS feed for events
The xml tag for <title> in the calendar RSS feed includes the date, but we don't want the date to show-up in our public scrolling RSSInclude.com window (see hopeca.com). Is there any way to repress the date from being included in the <title> tag (there's already a <pubdate> tag that includes the date information.
Seems like if you had an option in the event itself to display the date (or not) in the RSS feed, that would be good.
Thanks for any help!

Redesign of event registrations
We are working on a wide-ranging redesign of event registration which would address many requests listed in other threads:
We will post more information as it comes, as you may notice we have quite a bunch of changes.
We will be also posting design mockups here.
28 votesSorry, guys – this is too broad of a topic and we cannot really address it in a way it was formed (by me! in 2011!). We have a number of separate event ideas that cover a number of things mentioned here.
I’m closing it – feel free to add new suggestions if you believe something is not already in the Events Wishlist already. -
Registration email confirmation customization [10260]
Hi,
We would really like to customize the admin event registration confirmation email to add custom fields. Until that is available, we're hoping to simply find a way to add our admin email address as a cc to the custom registration email we created for the attendees.
Presume there must be a way to do this, even if it requires setting up a rule within the mailbox admin to forward a copy of all outgoing emails to admin@xyz.com for example.
We have a custom attendee confirmation email setup, but we can't figure out how to get a copy of that…
5 votesAny registration email could be copied to organization account in the Event email settings. Also any existing administrator could be selected as cc or any email could be specified in the Email Routing settings.
