  2. Allow members to be manually added to more than one event at a time

    I have to manually add members to an event. As most members attend four quarterly meetings a year, I have to add each member individually to four different meetings. This becomes extremely time consuming as we have over 13 boards that meet four times a year. It would be great if we would have the options to click on all the events we would like that member to be added to (or removed from).

  3. Payment instructions for membership invoice

    Would really like to be able to have an invoice field specifically related to membership so that I can include information for those who want to send in a payment manually.
    In events, there is a field for information to be included on an invoice {Payment_Instructions}. Having a similar field for membership would be great.

  4. members directory vs professional directory

    It would be very useful if our members directory could be viewed in multiple ways. In particular, we would like our professional members' profiles to be accessible by the public (we call this our professional directory), but our student profiles to be accessible by members only.
    Unfortunately, our student members' cannot fill many relevant fields because we do not want them to appear in our professional directory.

    You can setup multiple member directories with different content and different permissions/fields.

  5. Automatically change a "Lapsed" membership status to "Active" when we record a membership payment on a member's record.

    We had some "Lapsed" members that paid their dues. The Wild Apricot system did not automatically change their membership status to "Active" when the payment was recorded. There is no place on the invoice screen that shows the members status when we manually record payments. It creates an extra step to go back to the members record to make sure it is changed to "Active"

  7. Search for empty date field

    I want to find the users where the date field "Birth Date" is not set to a date. Tried advanced search.

    Birth Date <is> <date not set>

    returns exactly the same data as

    Birth Date <is not> <date not set>

    I think if no date is set then it should use NULL. This would allow to test for an empty field. Is there any other way to search where the field has not been entered for date?

  8. meeting attendance

    Perhaps a way to do this already exists, if so please let me know. Our members can only vote at annual elections if they've attended at least 2 of the meetings in the past 12 months. Is there a way to add a meeting attendance feature so that when the vote comes around we can pull up members that would be eligible for this vote?

  9. Recurring Payment Add-on

    My company is not big enough for the Community payment plan and do not need any of the additional features other than the ability to have recurring payments. It would be nice if this was an add-on capability between Group and Community memberships.

    Unfortunately, this is exactly why we separated this particular feature (recurring payments) into higher plan.

  10. Auto invoice for membership levels where recurring payments in enabled

    Currently, wild apricot doesn't automatically create invoices that send with membership renewal notices when recurring payments are enabled for that membership level. That feature doesn't work for my members who don't use recurring payments and pay with check instead.

    No names should show in the Directory until a name is typed in the search box. Our members do not like everyone's names appearing immediately when you open Directory.

    I would be very helpful to be able to Import changes and updates to existing member information without overwriting all data.

    We work with another organization that collects member information and updates for us, there is no way not to update member information other than manually which is extremely cumbersome.

  15. Give a choice of which Calendar year member would like to apply for.

    If someone is a member in 2014 for example (Jan 1, 2014-Dec 31, 2014). They decide not to be a member in 2015 because they decide to not attend our annual conference (which is the case with quite a few members) so they don´t renew for 2015. But our renewal notice for 2016 goes out in November and now they want to renew for 2016 so they pay for 2016 but at the end of 2015. WO applies this payment to 2015 instead of the year they want to have membership 2016. When a lapsed member renews, maybe WO could…

  16. enable online approval of new membership by multiple members of the Board

    Enable an automated workflow for membership management. Specifically new member applications to be sent to each member of the Board of Management / Committee. They can see the application and vote online (eg: Recommended, Not Recommended, Need to interview ... ) The club secretary manager recieves the result. Benefit is speeding up the new member process .

  17. Member directory - hide unpopulated filter fields

    A relatively simple request - for the search filters on the member directory, can we have the option to hide results with zero matches?

    Currently, fields with zero matches are "greyed out". However if they could be hidden altogether, this would dramatically reduce the clutter in the filter fields, especially in fields where many options are available.

    Sorry, it looks like we’re not going to do this. I would suggest using CSS customization to hide such options, it’s possible – just need some HTML experience.

  18. Member Field for Application Use Only, Not Afterward

    I would like the ability to mark an Internal Use membership database field to be editable but only on the membership application.

    Our membership application contains questions like

    Once the application is dealt with, these fields shouldn't be visible to anyone but admins. But currently, the closest way to configure them is "Edit in application, visible to member only":

    So the member will always see this field in his profile.

    I would like the editing and access to be configurable separately:

  19. Copy Address or other contact info

    For individual mailings, it would be helpful to be able to press a button and copy the current contact's basic details - name and address - to Word to make a letter/label.

    In some contact databases the control panel for the database allows for a mapping of fields, e.g. DATABASE.SALUTATION+" "+DATABASE.FNAME+" "+DATABASE.LNAME maps to CONTACTNAME and DATABASE.ADDRESS1+", "+DATABASE.ADDRESS2 maps to ADDRESS and similarly "DATABASE.CITY"+", "+DATABASE.PROVINCE+" "+DATABASE.POSTALCODE

    When needed, you press a combo of keys or press a button on the screen to copy the defined address to the clipboard and paste it wherever you want it to land.

  20. Allow negative day(s) offsets in Renewal Policy

    Our club needs to send out renewal invoices and reminders on or after the renewal date, not before. It would seem easy :) to implement this by allowing negative day(s) offsets in the Renewal Policy.

    We send renewal notices on the renewal date. The member remains in good standing for 60 days, after which they have a short grace period and then become lapsed.

    This could be entered on the Renewal Policy by sending the invoice 0 days before renewal date, following up with a reminder 30 days after the renewal date, and then sending the grace period notice 60…

    This looks like an exceptional case and no one has commented on this for quite some time. I believe that as a workaround you can use “Renewal day email notice” email as a first reminder, then “Grace period email notice” sent after 30 days as a second reminder and then “Lapsed email” after 60 days to set status to Lapsed.
    Closing the suggestion.
