An error occurred while saving the comment Will Strang commentedWild Apricot is SO FAR behind the power curve for not having the ability to somehow feed Facebook and Twitter. Besides our Folklore Society's WA site, I also administrate a bicycling advocacy groups site on NationBuilder, and even that lame excuse for a platform can feed Facebook and Twitter.

We're considering to take Donations during registrations/applications into development right now, but during analysis of the feature we ran into an issue where we would love to hear your feedback.
Essense of question: how would you like donations during applications or registration to be processed for offline payments (when your member/prospect decided to get an invoice and pay later)?
Some more details:
We can implement donations during event registrations/membership renewals for online payments - not a problem.
But when we're talking about offline payments, straighforward solution seems to be a bit expensive - we don't have invoices for donations or pledges yet.
So right now we're considering going on with straighforward online payments solution (donation will be added to payment transaction) and for offline payments - just include an invoice memo to buyer to add $XXX to his payment as donation for event/membership he has selected.
This way administrators would…
An error occurred while saving the comment Will Strang commentedThis is a completely unacceptable omission in the Wild Apricot feature set. How can you claim to support donation-driven membership organizations and not support asking for donations at renewal? FAIL!

An error occurred while saving the comment Will Strang commentedWhat your android mobile app does for me with our many events is a good step in this direction, showing buttons for All/Upcoming/Past events and then events by each Tag. When I display one of those categories, it would help if it showed the year of each event, instead of just the month and day.
Will Strang supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Will Strang commentedWe certainly need better event list access, with our 2751 events right now and adding roughly 200 more each year. Our biggest needs are Date Filter and Filter by Tag, settable BEFORE it starts displaying the huge event list. I like the "tag-based folders" idea.
An error occurred while saving the comment Will Strang commentedI suggest merging this with "Managing a database with many events [5687]", which is older, has more votes, and covers the same need in slightly more detail. We certainly need this capability, with our 2751 events and adding a few hundred more each year.

An error occurred while saving the comment Will Strang commentedOur organization has members without email addresses, and we have to accommodate them, no choice about it. So we send renewal letters to them a month ahead of their renewal. Having "Next Month Renewals" as a search criteria would make that much easier.

Old design proposal, not working on it yet and can be changed if we start working on it – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0f9kMyQqlBsZ3FQOWRiMERRNkk/view?usp=sharing

This should be be combined with "Link posts and events to social media channels." They're mostly about the same thing. Wild Apricot is SO FAR behind the power curve for not having the ability to somehow feed Facebook and Twitter.
