We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy Wild Apricot events into google calendar. So you can share this google calendar and you members can subscribe to it.

You can try the integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2276-copy-wild-apricot-events-into-google-calendar

I think my comment didn't post so I'm going to type it in again. Sorry if I am repeating myself...

I only need ability to switch warning off/on. I can then put my own message in, wherever I want and in my desired color, font, and size. I do not want a big red warning to be the first thing my recipients see. My choice would probably be black, italicized, and small. I would also have a friendlier message -- with a "please"!

As far as auto-logging in part of the warning, I would hope that a forwarded message would bring up the event but not actually permit registration (payment) or viewing profile information without a password. (E.g., Amazon.com lets you browse to your heart's content but it always asks for a password to check out.)

I'd like to put in a vote for this feature and offer another example as illustration for its purpose. We have an annual trip that involves renting 2 BR condos for 2 couples to share. Note: Every attendee must be a member.

So a member registers and pays the $100 deposit. The spouse would also like to be counted and receive email updates. We tried offering a registration type of "Spouse" at cost of $0 but we had couples who both registered to pay the $100 and we had other couples who both registered to pay $0. There was a lot of emailing, deleting, and re-registering by me to fix things. Plus couples complained about having to register twice (that is, once each.)

This year I tried the "Guest" option instead. It worked well except that, because the system was unaware that the guests were members, I ended up with two problems.

    1) Some members registered guests who were not members. I had to email them to tell them to register their guests as members (pay the $25 membership fee). I would have loved (a) to specify that guests had to be members or (b) to just charge member guests $0 and non-member guests $25.

(Solution b would also address that, for our monthly events, we would like to allow member guests to be $0 and non-member guests are permitted but charged $15.)

    2) The automatic Registration Reminder notification that goes out to all members who had not registered ALSO went out to member guests who HAD registered. I got a slew of emails from people that said they were registered but had received the reminder to register. Maybe you can fix this earlier as it seems closer to a bug than an enhancement. Registration reminders should not go out to emails that are already registered for an event.

Meanwhile, these two issues are preventing me from making wider use of the Guest feature. It is so close to being usable for us but it's not quite there.

Like other posters, I often am logged into WA many times simultaneously. Once as an administrator with a web page edit in progress, once as an administrator so that I can view other pages for references (perhaps Page Mgmt), once as an administrator to perform ad hoc admin tasks for the club, and once as a member to view the website as a user. My productivity would go way down if I could only log in once.

Secondly, cutting off someone's access abruptly for the sin of a supposed security breach would upset people very quickly. What if they simply forgot they were still logged on in another window??

Do not take away the ability to log in simultaneously. Make it an option if you want to provide this security enhancement.

My previous post had a typo which made things a little confusing. I have edited to fix. To elaborate, we added a multiple choice "I will help" field on our Event registration form with the help that we need for the event -- e.g., "Bring refreshments" and "Photography". This has worked wonderfully in at least getting us a field of volunteers. As the event date approaches, we export the attendees to Excel and scan the "I will help" field and choose who will bring refreshments and who will do photography. (No way for us to see the field in Wild Apricot directly.) In some cases, we assign more than one person to a job.

We keep track of who is assigned to do what outside of WA. Ideally ability to create fields at the Event level -- e.g., "Refreshment Volunteer" and "Photography Volunteer" -- would let us keep track of this inside of WA with the event. (I just realized that I could update the text of the event to include the information. It wouldn't help much for coordination or reports though.)

Here's a pie in the sky idea: The field on the registration updates the event level field automatically (if the event level field is blank.) Auto assignment!

Our organization uses volunteers for all of this too. What we do is add a Volunteer field on the registration form. After a certain amount of time, we review the attendees and assign volunteers.

It would be great if we could add custom database fields to the EVENT. Then we could assign volunteers at the event level. Ideally we would also get some email options on the Volunteers. But what we currently do is assign and coordinate them outside of WA. At least WA helps us to find volunteers without calling them. That's been fantastic for improving our volunteerism.

    Sorry for the late update.

The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.

Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.

For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.

Thank you everyone for a valuable feedback.

We have two kinds of couples

The first kind, the spouse is insulted they don't receive the emails and that they don't appear on the attendee list. So we created accounts for all spouses. The problem is that we now have duplicate contact info (addresses and phone #s). If spouses don't remember to update both accounts, one of them will be out of date.

The second kind of couple, the spouse doesn't have their own email and would never attend an event without the primary member. I created accounts with dummy emails for them to be consistent, but it seems kind of pointless.

It's kind of a big deal for us. We have a mix of older people who like to use checks and younger people who like to pay on-line. We have a pretty small budget and absorbing the on-line fees isn't ideal. Raising prices for everyone to provide a convenience for some doesn't seem fair.

We tried implementing a cash discount system with instructions but everyone got confused. What we are doing now is just having one fee for both -- a compromise. That's okay for most things.

We can manage without this feature -- heck, we can manage without all of the features that I've posted on, Wild Apricot is a great product -- but it would be nice to have.

I would also like an option for the opposite. Online payment costs us a service charge. Manual payment does not. It would be nice to provide a "cash discount" (like service stations do) if they choose Manual payment.

Due to the terms of credit card companies, we are not supposed to show the cash price and add a finance fee if they choose online pay (which WA doesn't support anyway) but we can offer a cash discount if WA supported it.

Essentially a cash discount would consist of all confirmation messages on the screen and in emails to indicate the discounted price that the member should mail in.
