I think volunteer tracking would be a great addition to the future of Wild Apricot but we need to remember that Wild Apricot is a Membership Management System. They do this great, and there may be other alternatives to WA that do Volunteer Management better.
I really value Wild Apricot's effort they do with software updates for Memberships however if they invest in Volunteer Management, our membership updates will come slower.
Please people, look at alternatives to WA for Volunteer Management. Since configuring WA to manage Volunteers is a MASSIVE project which would consume a lot of WA's resources.
For now, use the software as it was design, try not to appropriate it for other uses.

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsBrandon Longley supported this idea ·

We have started analysis for this issue, and it seems that key problem is how Wild Apricot handles level changes close to renewal date. The system is currently designed to collect the full new level amount and set renewal date according to new level renewal policy. All prepaid amounts for old levels are disposed. Moreover, since no prorating occurs, the new level might be effective only for a few days.
As a first step, we suggest to redesign how level change is working and add prorating there:
- Level would be changed immediately, as now - Remaining portion of old membership level payment will be applied to new level - For new levels with specific renewal date (e.g. annual levels with renewals Jan 1st) apply the pro-rating settings for new applications: - Allow member to pay only a pro-rated amount of the new level fee (e.g. six months before renewal…An error occurred while saving the comment Brandon Longley commented
I have been experiencing issues with the changing membership level system, this would most probably solve the process of changing levels. Currently it has to be done manually by admin.

I believe this would be useful for us to have since we only deal in within a single currency.

I really need this too.
I need to be able to print out communications that have been sent to members, for instance. I need to be able to print out a formatted version of the membership activation email as well as the payment receipt for some members that don't have email addresses - or prefer to have physical copies of communications posted out.
Add a Print button next to 'Save as template' & 'Send again' in the email log area that prints the email that was sent out.
I believe this would be similar to how you can re-print invoices, in which it generates a printer friendly version of the invoice to print.

I can see this would be useful, not for my organisations use but useful in general.

Hi there,
It seems that the functionality of printing email templates still isn't available.
What I would like to do is similar to how you can reprint invoices and payment receipts, but instead with emails from a contact's email log (membership activation) or email templates.
I could imagine it would happen like a print preview. I understand that most users will receive email copies however a large majority of them prefer to have a physical copy of proof of membership.
Is this possible?

Bulk changes would be great, it would be nice to be able to make bulk membership approvals possible. So as to not do them individually.

Old design proposal, not working on it yet and can be changed if we start working on it – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0f9kMyQqlBsZ3FQOWRiMERRNkk/view?usp=sharing

This would be beneficial to have in advanced searches.
I needed this today with a search, luckily there was a very simple workaround exporting the list to excel then filtering out the results however it can get messy.
I needed to make a search for Members within an area to apply for funding.
Where
Postcode was a list of ANY postcodes in that district (10 or so)
AND
Membership Level is ACTIVE.
Our organisation uses Volgistics, in which we have linked Wild Apricot and Volgistics through manual IDs. It doesn't affect us that greatly since around 10-15% of our volunteer base are members, however if this number was larger it would be a headache - the amount of manual data entry we would have to do.
We've found that we really need a single system to manage donors, volunteers and members and soon we're going to be looking at options however.
In a perfect world a single centralized system would be great but they are very costly.

One day I see Wild Apricot being the solution for this.
