Per my comment on this topic in the other related post, since we moved to WA and can no longer do this, we have seen our Forum activity go to almost zero, and have lost members, or had them very unhappy. This used to be one of the main benefits of our group - we are a parenting support group...

An error occurred while saving the comment Manhattan Twins Club commentedOur old system had this, and it really encouraged discussions! We have almost no discussions now that we can no longer do this, and it has really badly affected our renewals/joins. We 10000% want this more than anything else!

An error occurred while saving the comment Manhattan Twins Club commentedOops. I *thought* that WA DID do this. Ugh. So, yeah, either please do this, or please give a prompt to the Admin that this is not being done and that the Admin must do this. Ugh.

An error occurred while saving the comment Manhattan Twins Club commentedSince moving to WA, we have seen much less member engagement with our group. We used to be able to send both 'new post' and weekly digests of all activity in our Discussion groups, with a snippet of the content (about two lines) -- and our people could click through to be able to log in and respond. We now sadly have almost no activity in our Discussion Groups since moving to your site. Merely the topic headline just doesn't do it to encourage member activity. Also, if there was some way that we could help members set 'get alerts' when content is posted -- we know that folks don't totally get this, even though we try to alert them that they must do these settings themselves. We are pretty unhappy customers without these two features.
The lack of this feature is what causes me to be unhappy. In our old system, members (who can chose to use a anon username) would post to a Discussion Group (your Forum). Members can chose to receive updates via email either weekly or daily or when there is a new post. When there is an update email (new content, daily, weekly), the name of the Discussion Group (aka Forum) is shown, along with the OP subject head & content and then most recent post. If there is more than one OP, all are shown for each Forum. Members can then click to respond via email, or to go to the site.
